The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) is pleased to announce details for the 2010-11 CCM Studio Series of opera, musical theatre and drama. This year's Studio Series features seven productions in CCM's intimate and versatile 'black box' space, the Cohen Family Studio Theater, along with a special Studio Series opera produced in Patricia Corbett Theater and a festival of new dramatic works that will utilize spaces throughout CCM Village.

The Northglenn Arts and Humanities Foundation (NAHF) will host an exciting evening of public performances by local talent on September 17. Performance will be held at the D.L. Parsons Theatre inside the Northglenn Recreation Center at 11801 Community Center Drive, Northglenn, Colorado, 80233. All proceeds benefit the Foundation.

In EROS, the new play by Caroline Lark making its world première at The Forge at The Court Theatre, the world of polyamory - participation in multiple simultaneous loving or sexual relationships - is explored in a play director Yvonne Martin describes as 'a comedy of contemporary manners with an intriguing twist'.

Continuing this year's exploration of American drama, Sydney Theatre Company presents the iconic Our Town, Thornton Wilder's 1938 Pulitzer Prize winning play. One of the most widely produced plays in the United States, yet rarely seen in Australia, the heart-warming classic makes an affecting philosophical case for relishing life in the here and now as it chronicles the lives of two close-knit families living next door to each other. This new production, directed by Iain Sinclair, is at the Drama Theatre, Sydney Opera House, from 14 September 2010, opening 18 September.

San Francisco's EXIT Theatre has announced the inauguration of its publishing arm, EXIT Press, with the publication of the book TEN PLAYS by Mark Jackson. EXIT Artistic Director Christina Augello explains that 'since our beginning in 1983 we have been dedicated to collaborating with playwrights in support of new work. For decades, talented theatre artists have been contributing to the new American theatre on the EXIT stages. It is our hope that EXIT Press will help this important work find a home on many other stages in the future. Through art we can change the world.'

DOG RUN REP is presenting the world premiere of The Man Who Ate Michael Rockefeller, a new play by Jeff Cohen based on the short story by Christopher Stokes, directed by Alfred Preisser. In 1961, Michael Rockefeller, 23 years old, disappeared among the Asmat People of Papua, New Guinea. He was never heard from again. This is the story of what might have happened, told by the Asmat people. The Man Who Ate Michael Rockefeller will play a four-week limited engagement at the West End Theatre, The Church of St. Paul & St. Andrew, 263 West 86th Street @ West End Avenue. All tickets are $18. On Saturday, August 14th, East West Players (EWP) will kick off its 45th season with One Night Only: Hip Hop and Hot. Directed by Marilyn Tokuda with musical direction by Nathan Wang, this one night only benefit performance offers the fun and excitement of a night of watching some of Southern California's best dance crews and will feature the four pillars of hip hop-DJ'ing, MC'ing, Graffiti, and Breaking.

The premiere of Disney's exhilarating rock 'n roll musical 'Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam,' starring Demi Lovato and Jonas Brothers, will be presented across Labor Day weekend with four event telecasts -- each celebrating music and dance with a storyline that suggests life is about the way you play. The fun for kids, tweens and families begins FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 3 and goes through MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 6 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT, each night) on Disney Channel. With a major performance at the Hollywood Bowl quickly approaching, Broadway veteran Harry Connick Jr. confessed to the LA Times that he prefers not to plan ahead for performances. As he once said in regards to his recent Broadway engagement, 'It would kill me if anyone who saw this show twice saw the same thing.' While he plans to include different songs for each performance at the Hollywood Bowl, Connick will definitely be incorporating classics from his Grammy-nominated album, 'Your Songs'.

First Time Out is an experimental writing and theatre project designed to explore the infinite relationship between a piece of writing and its performance. It is a rare opportunity for student writers to write anything at all and have it interpreted and performed on stage.
