Nicole Rosky

Nicole is the Editor-in-Chief of BroadwayWorld, where she began her journey as an intern in 2010. As BroadwayWorld's Senior Managing Editor, a role she took on in 2012, she covered over a decade's-worth of theatre and live entertainment in New York City and around the world. Throughout her time with BroadwayWorld, Nicole has worked extensively with the photo and video team, producing (and sometimes editing) a great deal of the site's original programming, including Backstage with Richard Ridge, Dance Captain Dance Attack, Next on Stage, Kid Critics, and Teen Critics, just to name a few. Originally from outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she is a proud graduate of Penn State University's College of Communications. Nicole currently resides in Brooklyn, New York, where she gets to enjoy far more great theatre than she ever dreamed. Her first great role was "Billy Flynn" in her fourth grade musical theatre class. Oh, how far she has come!

  • Tony Nominee Reactions - I have had the pleasure of covering every Tony Awards season since 2011 and one of my favorite parts is hearing from the nominees just moments after they find out that they ARE nominees.
  • Theatre Queens - When I'm not at a Broadway show, you'll find me at home, catching up on the latest episodes of RuPaul's Drag Race. I've had a blast chatting with many of the queens who call theatre their first love.
  • Broadway Jukebox - I love a good playlist and I find myself making them OFTEN. I've curated over 100 musical theatre playlists for BroadwayWorld (my personal favorite is "Female Anthems of Broadway"). Give them a listen and follow BroadwayWorld on Spotify to find out what I come up with next!
  • Broadway By Design - I created this series after realizing how little information is shared about the theatrical design process and it has become one of my favorite ongoing features.
  • Next On Stage - Working on this project and having the opportunity to spotlight so many talented young people from around the country has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career.


Danny Bayne, Liam Doyle, Laurie Scarth, et al. Set for U.K. Tour of HAIRSPRAY

Along with previously announced Michael Ball, also starring in the U.K. Tour of Hairspray will be Laurie Scarth, Liam Doyle, and Danny Bayne. The tour begins at the Cardriff Millenium Centre and will begin March 30th, immediately following its West End closing. The tour is scheduled to run through January 2011 with stops in Glasgow, Southampton, Wolverhampton, Leeds, Manchester, Plymouth, Liverpool, Sunderland, Milton Keynes, Oxford, Birmingham, Bradford and Edinburgh. Vail International Dance Festival Announces Summer Schedule

The Vail International Dance Festival has annouced the schedule for its summer program. The 22 year old event runs from July 27th to August 10th and includes performances by Savion Glover, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Paul Taylor Dance Company and more. Under the direction of Damian Woetzel, the event will feature three premieres and 11 performances. Nestled in the Colorado Rockies, the Vail International Dance Festival is heralded as a treasured summer dance event. Plans Fall Through for Connecticut Shakespeare Theater Renovation

After a vote on Monday evening, the Stratford Town Council has rejected a developer's plan to renovate the Shakespeare Theater in Stratford Connecticut. The 1,500 seat theater has been closed for over two decades, and was to be reopened by Bill Hanney, producer of the Theatre by the Sea in Matunuck, R.I.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tim Robbins and Peter Sarsgaard will be joining Ryan Reynolds in the upcoming Green Lantern film. Based on the DC Comics superhero, the movie will be directed by Martin Campbell and is set to begin filming in New Orleans in March.

Generic Theater Presents DARWIN IN MALIBU, 3/26-4/18

Daniel Beaty Returns To THROUGH THE NIGHT, 3/16-4/4

William Finn to Speak at Kean University, 3/1

Middlebury Community Players Presents STILL LIFE, 2/18-2/21
February 5, 2010

The Middlebury Community Players will present an expanded version of Noel Coward's 'Still Life' at Town Hall Theater from February 18 through the 21st. The piece was originally written to be included in Coward's cycle of short plays 'Tonight at 8:30.' However, in 1945 Coward joined forces with film director David Lean to create the full length, heart rending love story, 'Brief Encounter.' For MCP's production, director Joann Langrock has adapted scenes from the film to the original one-act, taking her cue from the recent British revival of a staged version of 'Brief Encounter' currently touring the United States.
