From October 8th to November 6th, Open Stage of Harrisburg will present the Pennsylvania premiere of the original Broadway musical [title of show], the story of two struggling young writers writing a witty new musical about two struggling young writers writing a witty new musical.

July 16 - July 18, the Fire Island Dance Fetsival took place to benefit Dancers Repsonding to AIDS, a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Fantasia Barrino's newest CD, which is available in stores beginning August 24, will include The Color Purple's show-stopper, 'I'm Here.' In addition to performing the anthem as Celie on Broadway, Barrino also belted out the song at the 2007 Tony Awards.

According to EW.com, Andie MacDowell is set to play Vi, in the highly anticipated Footloose remake. MacDoweel will join Julianne Hough, Kenny Worlmald, and Dennis Quaid, who will play MacDowell's husband-Reverend Moore. The movie is set to hit theatres in April of 2011, and production will begin in the near future.

Nancy Dolman, wife of Martin Short, passed away on August 21 - the cause of death remains unknown. Doleman is perhaps best remembered for her appearences on the ABC cult sitcom 'Soap', 'Second City Television' and 'Custard Pie'. She also appeared in her husband Martin Short's critically acclaimed 1985 cable television special Martin Short: Concert for the North Americas.

Grammy Award winners Desmond Child and Julie Gold join New York songwriters in creating world-premier works to be performed by Broadway stars, like Tony-Award winner Alice Ripley and Ariana Grande (Nickelodeon's Victorious), to celebrate, raise awareness and funding for Broadway in South Africa (BSA), at its third annual benefit concert. It will take place on Monday, October 4, 2010, at 7:30 pm in the Manhattan Center's Grand Ballroom, located at 311 West 34th Street. Burning Coal teams up with the Raleigh City Museum for a third year to tell the stories of Raleigh's history in a new, Halloween-themed script, The Ghosts of Fayetteville Street. The production, with a script by Oakwood author Ian Finley, and featuring actors from Burning Coal Theatre Company, will visit several sites along Fayetteville Street and around the State Capitol. Along the way, audiences will encounter close-up some of the most haunting (and hysterical) citizens of Raleigh's past.
