John Tartaglia's IMAGINOCEAN, a new family musical adventure, created and written by Emmy and Tony Award nominated actor John Tartaglia, begins performances at the NEW WORLD STAGES (340 West 50th Street) on Wednesday, March 17, 2010. John Tartaglia's IMAGINOCEAN will officially open on March 31, 2010.

Darren Wiliams returns to the Metropolitan Room at Gotham with his show, 'Not the Boy Next Door: The Peter Allen Songbook,' for two shows only. Dennis Buck will be musical director with Ray Kilday on bass and Ray Grappone on percussion.

According to their website, the Music Center at Strathmore has canceled 'Luck Be A Lady,' a concert that was to be held Friday, February 5th at 8pm. Scheduled to perform were Julia Murney, Emily Skinner, Rachel York and Jim Caruso. The reason for the cancellation is a snow storm weather advisory. The concert was supposed to be a celebration of the center's fifth anniversary and would have featured the best of Broadway, including songs by Sondheim ('No One Is Alone'), Kander & Ebb ('Ring Them Bells,' 'Maybe This Time') and some of the Great White Way's biggest hits ('Maria,' 'Defying Gravity,' 'Don't Rain on My Parade').

ET Online is reporting that DreamWorks Studios is holding an open call for a young male actor for a lead role in upcoming film ‘Real Steel,' starring Hugh Jackman. The role in question is Max, a 'street-smart, tough, charming kid with a hard, untrusting outer shell which hides a warm enthusiastic spirit...a complicated, strong-willed and resourceful boy.' DreamWorks is looking for a 10-14 year old male actor for the part.

Performance Network Theatre announces its production of 'It Came From Mars' by local playwright, Joseph Zettelmaier, beginning February 18 and running through March 21, 2010.
