Breaking Glass Pictures has acquired North American rights to the tender coming-of-age tale MY BEST FRIEND (aka Mi Mejor Amigo). Breaking Glass acquired rights to the film in April in a deal negotiated between Breaking Glass CEO Rich Wolff and Thibaut Fougéres, owner of Outplay Films. The film will be released on DVD & VOD on October 29, 2018.

Culinary superstars Bobby Flay and Giada De Laurentiis are back to mentor and judge ten culinary hopefuls for a shot at stardom in the new season of Food Network Star, premiering Sunday, June 10th at 9pm ET/PT on Food Network. XYZ Films announced today that Lily Collins (TO THE BONE) will star in the survival thriller TITAN, which will be written and directed by Austin Bunn (writer of KILL YOUR DARLINGS). The film will be produced by Christine Vachon (CAROL, BOYS DON'T CRY, FAR FROM HEAVEN) and David Hinojosa (BEATRIZ AT DINNER, FIRST REFORMED, WIENER DOG) for Killer Films, with XYZ Films executive producing and handling international sales at the upcoming Marché du Film at Cannes. CAA and UTA will partner to handle domestic sales.

The Peabody Awards Board of Jurors revealed today nine winners in the Documentary category for programs released in 2017. The honorees, part of the annual Peabody 30, include stories that give insight to the lingering grief of communities after mass shootings, the impact of climate change on Earth's oceans, and young activists fighting for a path to citizenship. The Peabody Awards are based at the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia.

Post-hardcore quintet LIMBS has shared the title track from their forthcoming debut full-length album Father's Son. “Siren” takes us inside Bristol Cove—a coastal town known for its legend of once being home to mermaids. When the arrival of a mysterious girl proves this folklore all too true, the battle between man and sea takes a very vicious turn as these predatory beings return to reclaim their right to the ocean. The series stars Alex Roe (“The 5th Wave”) as Ben, a bright marine biologist who finds himself drawn to a mysterious new girl in town, Ryn, played by Eline Powell (“Game of Thrones”), who is a strange young woman with a deep dark secret. Fola Evans-Akingbola (“An American Exorcism”) stars as Maddie, also a marine biologist who works with Ben, and is highly suspicious of Ryn. Ian Verdun (“Life's a Drag”) stars as Xander, a deep sea fisherman on a quest to uncover the truth; and Rena Owen (“Star Wars” Episodes II and III) as Helen, the town eccentric who seems to know more about the mermaids than she lets on. Based on a story by Eric Wald and Dean White who both serve as executive produces. Emily Whitesell (“Finding Carter”) is on board as Showrunner and Executive Producer. Brad Luff, Nate Hopper and RD Robb are also attached as executive producers.

Using cutting-edge science as the foundation for outrageous stunts and practical jokes, SCIJINKS, the all-new science prank show hosted by Johnny Galecki, will premiere Wednesday, May 16 at 10 PM ET/PT on Science Channel .
