Mind Over Mirrors has announced a new song-cycle and album entitled Bellowing Sun, which will be released by Paradise of Bachelors on April 6th and premiered live at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago the same night. An encore performance will be presented April 7th. Mind Over Mirrors' Jaime Fennelly has been developing Bellowing Sun for three years, composing the music and recording the album, as well as co-designing and building a massive zoetrope that will be installed above the ensemble during live iterations of the piece. The production was commissioned by the MCA.

The Gaslight Anthem has announced a very special series of shows celebrating the 10th anniversary of their milestone second studio album, THE '59 SOUND. The New Jersey-based rock band will travel North America and Europe performing the album in its entirety, with dates beginning May 27th at Washington, DC's legendary 9:30 Club and then traveling into mid-August. As previously announced, The Gaslight Anthem will also perform THE '59 SOUND in its entirety at this year's Governors Ball Music Festival.

According to Variety, the Lifton Institute for Media Arts & Sciences has recently developed Reel People, a program dedicated to training high-functioning autistic adults to obtain jobs in the film industry. The program was introduced last month by sound man and producer Jimmy Lifton. As a two-time Emmy winner, Lifton has recently dedicated his time to helping homeless veterans obtain trade jobs, and is now continuing to succeed with this new program centered around the positive qualities of a person with autism such as intense focus, determination, and attention to detail.

According to the Hollywood Reporter Luca Guadagnino, director of the recent hit film CALL ME BY YOUR NAME, has big plans for the sequel. Guadagnino recently revealed his hopes for the franchise to continue as a series and incorporate the AIDS epidemic much like the original novel. Though the setting of the movie is earlier than that of the novel, Guadagnino hopes to continue the story through the 1980's, the height of the crisis, claiming 'I think it's going to be a very relevant part of the story.'

The series will be produced by MRC (House of Cards, Counterpart) and will be the Chazelle's second venture into television.

According to the Hollywood Reporter the 2018 Academy Awards nominations, for director especially, are much more diverse than recent years. Announced earlier this week, nominees for the 90th Annual Academy Awards include actors of color in major acting categories along with men of color and a woman nominated for directing. The #OscarsSoWhite hashtag which was trending throughout the last several years has not seen a major comeback this year. This step towards a more diverse Awards Show occurs after The Academy of of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences faced backlash for nominating all white actors in leading acting categories 2016 and 2015.
