Gettysburg Community Theatre, the non-profit 501c3 organization located in the original Elks Lodge building at 49 York Street within the first block of Lincoln Square in historic downtown Gettysburg, presents an all-youth cast production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's classic musical The King And I with special permission from the Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization in NYC. The production will perform at GCT Fridays and Saturdays at 7pm and Sundays at 2pm, weekends April 15-May 1, 2016. The Hershey Community Chorus will be holding a Spaghetti Dinner and Bake Sale on Tuesday, April 19, 2015, at The First United Methodist Church located at 64 W. Chocolate Ave, Hershey.  Tickets for spaghetti with homemade meat or marinara sauce accompanied with tossed green salad, bread, butter, and beverage are $8.00 for adults and $6.00 for children under 12.  The dinner will be served from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm or until all is sold.  Take outs are available. 

"Jane Eyre" is a musical drama based on the classic novel by Charlotte Bronte - it premiered on Broadway in 2000 and received five Tony Awards, including "Best Musical". The Barn Players will present the musical opening Friday, April 15th through Sunday May 1st at the Barn Players Theatre, 6219 Martway in Mission. The play is rated "PG" and features husband and wife, Alisha and Matt Richardson, in starring roles; Alisha as Jane Eyre and Matt as Rochester.

The greater Binghamton area's longest running Equity theatre will celebrate its 10th anniversary season by premiering four plays never seen before in this region.  Included are two new plays just beginning to be produced around the country.  Both are from authors whose previous work has been seen exclusively on CRT's stage in the Southern Tier.

Genesis Theatrical Productions will present the U.S. premiere of the play Satie et Cocteau: A Rehearsal of a Play of a Composer by a Poet by Canadian playwright Mike Czuba about the classical music composer Erik Satie and his complex relationship with the surrealist poet Jean Cocteau.

GLAAD Media Award recipients were announced in 17 of this year's 31 media categories at the 27th Annual GLAAD Media Awards, presented by Delta Air Lines, Hilton, Ketel One Vodka, and Wells Fargo at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles on Saturday night.

Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) and the ANA-4A's Joint Policy Committee on Broadcast Talent Union Relations (JPC) have reached a tentative agreement on terms for successor television and radio commercials contracts, subject to approval by the SAG-AFTRA National Board of Directors later this month.

Little Fish Theatre is excited to announce The 39 Steps as the fifth production in their 2016 season.  Adapted by Patrick Barlow from the novel by John Buchan, The 39 Steps won the Olivier Award for Best Comedy and was a two-time 2008 Tony® Awards winner.  Mix a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, then add a dash of Monty Python and you have a thrilling piece of theater magic for audiences of all ages and backgrounds. This wild adventure, full of intrigue and humor allows LFT actors and designers to show what they can create from thin air, which is quintessentially what theater is all about.

MorDance, in its mission to create modern, relevant movement that maintains the integrity of classical ballet, returns to New York's newest performing arts center as its resident ballet company this spring with Season IV, From the Center. The first company to perform on the Sheen Center stage in 2014, MorDance returns April 21-24 to present Propinquity and Apart from the Peripheral, both world premieres, and The Shape of Voice, a continuation of a work commissioned by the Columbia Ballet Collaborative in November 2015.

A totally make-believe man who dresses properly for any occasion might seem unusual, but then, there's also the landscape painter who wears a lighted minor's lamp and only paints at night. These characters define "Moon Over the Brewery" as not the ordinary play about family dynamics. Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. Tony nominee Ramin Karimloo and Joe Kwon released their cover of The Avett Brothers' 'Greatest Sum.' Joe Kwon is the cello player for The Avett Brothers', and Ramin joined him to play and sing this song that 'connected them back in the day.' Check it out below!

Emmy and Golden Globe award winner Kelsey Grammer is taking his final bow as Charles Frohman/Hook in Broadway's FINDING NEVERLAND today, April 3rd. Grammer returned to the role on January 19th of this year after a brief hiatus. He originated the role when the production opened on Broadway in March of last year and garnered wide acclaim. 

Ellie Nunn, the daughter of the legendary Shakespearean director Sir Trevor Nunn and Imogen Stubbs, makes her Shakespeare debut this Tuesday 5th April as Viola in Grassroots Shakespeare London's production of Twelfth Night. Sir Trevor memorably directed Imogen Stubbs as Viola in the 1996 film of 'Twelfth Night'. The play also stars John Pickard as Sir Toby Belch and Tamaryn Payne as Olivia.
