Paul Garman, Executive Director/Producer of Musical Theatre West, is proud to announce the cast of Rodgers and Hammerstein's OKLAHOMA!, previewing February 15, opening February 16 at 8pm, and continuing through March 3. Davis Gaines (LA's Phantom of the Opera, Ovation Award winner for Musical Theatre West's Man of La Mancha) makes his Los Angeles-area directorial debut with this production. As with all Musical Theatre West productions, OKLAHOMA! is locally-produced in Long Beach with professional actors from Broadway, national tours, film and television, including the best in local talent.

Principal Pops Conductor Michael Krajewski will lead the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in "Viva Italia," a romance-themed program featuring vocal trio Poperazzi on February 15-16, 2013, at 8:00 p.m. in Atlanta Symphony Hall at the Woodruff Arts Center.

American Blues Theater (ABT), Chicago's second oldest Equity Ensemble, hosts their annual fundraiser the 2013 "Blue Bash" Thursday, Feb. 28 from 5:30 - 9 p.m., at the office of Seyfarth Shaw, 131 South Dearborn. Ailey II returns to Columbus with a timeless classic from Alvin Ailey, as well as new works by dance veterans and celebrated emerging choreographers. The evening's program (subject to change) will include Virtues (Amy Hall Garner, 2012), Doscongio (Robert Moses, 1998), Rusty (Benoit-Swan Pouffer, 2012), and Revelations (Alvin Ailey, 1960).

If the 33rd summer season of Moonlight Stage Productions appears to take on a Broadway appearance that is because three of the four musicals will utilize scenic elements and costumes from New York and the Great White Way. This is one way new Artistic Director Steven Glaudini has put his stamp on his first season being announced today. In the mix of shows slated for the Moonlight Amphitheatre stage this summer are two new titles including the San Diego professional premiere of a recent Mel Brooks Broadway hit.

Angel Management Group's PURE Nightclub inside Caesars Palace will welcome GRAMMY Award-nominee, artist and performance DJ Sky Blu of LMFAO as he hosts his single release party Friday, Feb. 1. The newly solo singer will celebrate the release of his latest hit "Pop Bottles" featuring up-and-coming singer Mark Rosas as he takes over the turntables at the Sin City mega-club.

The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music's (CCM) Philharmonia Orchestra, Chamber Choir and Chorale will present a rare two-evening run of Giuseppi Verdi's Requiem at 8 p.m. on both Friday, Feb. 1, and Saturday, Feb. 2, in UC's Corbett Auditorium. Tickets are on sale now.

Society for the Performing Arts (SPA), bringing the world's best to Houston, is seeking entries for its 15th Annual Student Visual Art Contest, sponsored by Wells Fargo. This Visual Art Contest offers all kindergarten through 12th grade students in the greater Houston area and beyond a chance to showcase their talents and win prizes, while learning more about the performing arts. The deadline for all entries is Friday, March 22, 2013.

Veteran comedic actor, David Dean Bottreel (Boston Legal, Justified, Harry's Law, True Blood) returns to the Los Angeles Stage with a new solo show -- David Dean Bottrell Is Working: One Man's Search for Employment and The Meaning of Life. Combining his prodigious body of work as an actor, writer and director, David has created an evening of outrageous, sometimes heart-breaking and always side-splitting true stories that provide a rare look into an entertainer's quest for a middle class life in Hollywood. David Dean Bottrell is Working is directed by Jim Fall and produced by Lee Costello.

Liam Smith has joined the Sell a Door Theatre Company cast for their London revival of R.C. Sherriff's 'Journey's End'.

New England Conservatory will present the American premiere of Rossini's comic opera, La Gazzetta (The Newspaper) in the 2002 critical edition by Philip Gossett and Fabrizio Scipioni, April 6-9, 2013 at the Paramount Theater in Boston. Not only will this production mark the first time the critical edition has been performed in the United States, but it will feature the world premiere of the Act I quintet recovered in 2011 in the Library of the Conservatory of Palermo. The fully staged production with all-student cast and orchestra will be conducted by Joseph Rescigno, Artistic Advisor and Principal Conductor of Florentine Opera Company of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and directed by Chair of Opera Studies Joshua Major. The leading women's roles, Lisetta and Doralice, will be sung (April 6, 8 performances) by soprano Soyoung Park and mezzo soprano Jaime Korkos, currently candidates for the Artist Diploma in Opera.

A rising star in the music world, British pianist Benjamin Grosvenor will make his Houston debut Wednesday, Feb. 13, at 7:30 p.m. in Wortham Center's Cullen Theater, presented by Society for the Performing Arts.

Magic Theatre has announced An Evening with Sam Shepard, a one-night-only benefit event. The iconic playwright and actor returns to Magic to share excerpts from his plays and prose on Monday, February 11, 2013 in an intimate evening at Magic Theatre, Fort Mason Center, Building D, San Francisco.

Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) has announced its winter schedule of classes for The Ensemble School. Taught by working actors and directors, The Ensemble School is a training ground for professional and aspiring actors of all skill levels with classes for students from age seven to adult. All classes are 12-week sessions that begin on or after February 11, meet once a week and are limited to 12 students. All classes are held at Maryland Ensemble Theatre located in the historic FSK Hotel at 31 W Patrick Street in downtown Frederick. 'We provide a safe and productive training ground for actors of all ages -- a place where they can take risks and learn the skills they'll need for a life on the stage', said Gené Fouché, the Director of The Ensemble School.

Theatre Confetti presents the Philadelphia premiere of Edith Can Shoot Things and Hit Them, a moving new play by A. Rey Pamatmat. Theatre Confetti, formerly known as Nice People Theatre Company, is led by co-artistic directors Nicole Paloux and Bi Jean Ngo. The production is directed by Aaron Cromie and stars Ngo, Justin Jain and Steve Pacek in a timely play about adolescence, homosexuality and abandonment, running March 7 - 24, 2013.

Three Stages at Folsom Lake College is honored to have the "deadpan brilliance" (New Yorker) of CAKE in the house for two shows. The excitement is mutual.
