The Society of Composers (SCI) National Conference will be held at Ohio State February 13-16, under the auspices of the School of Music's Contemporary Music Festival. The festival will feature 100 new works of music in 12 concerts over the three and a half days, many of which are world premieres. The festival also will welcome guest composers, performers, and scholars from all over the United States, panel sessions on new music, and performances by Ohio State faculty and students.

Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College (BCBC) has announced the rescheduling of a concert by Metropolitan Klezmer & Isle of Klezbos on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at 2pm. Originally scheduled for early November 2012 but cancelled due to Superstorm Sandy, the concert now coincides with Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom HaShoah). Legendary singer, songwriter, actor and activist Harry Belafonte will be honored with the 97th Spingarn Medal at the NAACP Spingarn Dinner, February 15th at 7:30 p.m. The ceremony will take place during the NAACP Annual Board Meeting at the New York Marriot Marquis Hotel.

The New Group presents the world premiere of Clive, written by Jonathan Marc Sherman and directed by and featuring Ethan Hawke in the title role. This production features Brooks Ashmanskas, Vincent D'Onofrio, Stephanie Janssen, Mahira Kakkar, Zoe Kazan, Aaron Krohn, Dana Lyn and Jonathan Marc Sherman, with Music and Sound Sculptures by GAINES. Platinum-selling pianist and songwriter Jim Brickman will bring his romantic music to Atlanta Symphony Hall for Valentine's Day, Thursday, February 14, 2013, at 8:00 p.m. Mr. Brickman will join the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Principal Pops Conductor Michael Krajewski for a program full of love songs, including "Valentine," "The Gift," and "Love of my Life." The performances will take place in Atlanta Symphony Hall at the Woodruff Arts Center.

Theresa Caputo, psychic medium and star of the hit TLC show, Long Island Medium, will be appearing live at the Citi Performing Arts Center Wang Theatre on Friday, April 12th at 8pm. The Human Race Theatre, Dayton's only professional regional theatre company, will launch its 27th season with a richly diverse 5-play combination of productions on its Eichelberger Loft Series. Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere of THE MADRID, the new play by Liz Flahive, directed by Leigh Silverman begins previews tomorrow, February 5 at 7 PM at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street) in preparation for a Tuesday, February 26 opening night. Celebration Theatre has announced the second show of its celebratory 30th Anniversary Season, the rolling world premiere of a new play, WOLVES, written by Steve Yockey (Very Still and Hard to See, The Fisherman's Wife) and directed by Ovation award-winner and Celebration Theatre's Co-Artistic Director Michael Matthews (Justin Love, The Color Purple). The Reock & Roll Revue is returning to Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre for a weekend of performances of the band's latest show, "The Band and Music From Big Pink," a tribute to the classic group of the late '60s and early '70s. The first national tour of Priscilla Queen of the Desert The Musical is coming to Philadelphia at the Academy of Music from February 26 through March 3.
