Now, for the first time, a WOB alumnus will be starring in a national webseries as Jordan C. Allen plays the role of Wyatt in Cinevore Studios' Nerd vs. Geek.

Harper Lee's Pulitzer-prize winning classic, To Kill a Mockingbird, returns to Park Square after sold-out performances in 2011. Set in a small town in Alabama in 1935, it is a story of one man's pursuit of justice in a climate of racial inequality. The novel's hero Atticus Finch serves as an iconic inspiration for tolerance and integrity; his eight-year-old daughter Scout remains among the most beloved young characters in literature with her pluck, smarts and willingness to understand the perspectives of others. Directed by David Mann, this large-scale staging of Christopher Sergel's adaptation includes a gospel chorus and an evocative set designed by Joel Sass. To Kill a Mockingbird is on stage for eight general audience performances April 4-14, 2013.

President and CEO, Myron Martin, hosted the center's first-ever President's Reception. Held in the intimate Troesh Studio Theatre inside Boman Pavilion, Martin welcomed guests to an evening of cocktails and hors d'oeuvres as he remarked on the success of The Smith Center's first year before announcing the 2013-2014 Broadway Las Vegas season.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre has announced a limited engagement of George Gershwin Alone, a play with music that invites audiences to enjoy an evening with a great composer. This celebrated production plays two weeks only - June 8 through June 23 - on the intimate Thrust Stage. Tickets for these 18 performances go on sale today to Berkeley Rep's subscribers; the public can access seats beginning on Sunday, February 10. This special presentation features music by George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin with a book by Hershey Felder. Starring Hershey Felder as George Gershwin, it has been staged by acclaimed director Joel Zwick.

WICKED, the most anticipated musical production of the 2013 - 2014 season will go on sale to the public on Saturday, February 16; tickets will be exclusively available at The Morris Theater Box Office, 211 N. The Music Center announces that it will partner with Los Angeles Ballet to present that company's productions of Agon and Rubies on Saturday evening July 6, free to the public. Both have music by Igor Stravinsky and choreography by George Balanchine.

Pittsburgh Dance Council, a division of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, presents New Zealand dance company, Black Grace, under the direction of choreographer and founder Neil Ieremia, on Saturday, March 2, 2013, at 8:00 p.m., at the Byham Theater. Black Grace will present several works on this tour including Pati Pati, Objects and Amata. The program also includes a piece from Ieremia's new full length work, VVaka*.

Steps off Broadway Productions, Inc., has added 3 more shows of Shrek the Musical due to an overwhelming response. The first three shows were sold out before opening night. The musical will be performed on February 8th, 9th, 16th at 7:30 PM and February 10th, 16th, 17th at 2:00 PM.

After two sold-out performances in 2011, Daniel Tosh will return to Detroit's Fox Theatre with his new"The June Gloom Tour" with special guest, Jarrod Carmichael on Saturday, June 8 at 7 p.m.

THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, has broken the house record in Des Moines for the week ending February 3, 2013. The show broke the record at the Des Moines Civic Center grossing $1,563,897.00. THE BOOK OF MORMON breaks the record, previously set by WICKED in 2009.

FREUD'S LAST SESSION, the runaway hit play by Mark St. Germain, will end its triumphant limited engagement this Sunday, February 10th at The Broad Stage in Santa Monica. Starring Judd Hirsch as Sigmund Freud and Tom Cavanagh as C. S. Lewis, FREUD'S LAST SESSION is directed by Tyler Marchant, who helmed the original New York production. The show's west coast premiere is presented by The Broad Stage & Carolyn Rossi Copeland, Robert Stillman and Jack Thomas.

The Little Opera Theatre of NY announces its spring 2013 production of Christoph Willibald Gluck's tragi-comic opera The Reformed Drunkard. Eight performances will be presented from MARCH 16-24 at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues). Performance times are 8:15 pm for Fridays and Saturdays, including March 16, 22, and 23; 7:15 pm for Tuesday-Thursday performances, March 19-21; and 3:15 pm for two Sunday matinees, March 17 and 24. On Way Down Low, Edmonson makes her songwriting and production debut. She performs with noted fan Lyle Lovett on “Long Way Home,” which Entertainment Weekly calls “an airy country duet.” The album was recorded at the historic Avatar Studio and The Capitol Studios with Grammy-winning producer/engineer Al Schmitt (Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra, Sam Cooke) and features input from legendary producer Phil Ramone (Paul Simon, Billy Joel).

New York City Opera concludes its spring 2013 BAM residency and celebrates the centennial of composer Benjamin Britten (1913-1976) with a brand-new production of Britten's chamber opera The Turn of the Screw (1954). Based on the classic ghost story by Henry James, the opera's libretto is by Myfanwy Piper. The production, conducted by Jayce Ogren, marks the opera debut of Sam Buntrock, the theater director best known for his award-winning staging of Sunday in the Park with George in the West End and on Broadway.
