Kimiye Corwin and Anderson Matthews will headline Shakespeare Festival St. Louis' production of 'Twelfth Night' May 24 through June 16 at Shakespeare Glen in Forest Park. Both Corwin and Matthews were last seen in SFSTL's production of 'Hamlet' as Ophelia and Polonius, respectively, in 2010. Preview performances are scheduled for May 22-23. Rick Dildine, executive director of Shakespeare Festival St. Louis, will direct.

Placido Domingo, LA Opera's Eli and Edythe Broad General Director, announced today that James Conlon, the Company's Richard Seaver Music Director, has extended his contract with LA Opera through the end of the 2017/2018 season. "James has had an incredible impact on the artistic quality of LA Opera performances," said Mr. Domingo. 'Breaking Surface' is an acrobatic aerial dance theater work staged in and over a thirty-by-twenty five foot shallow pool of water. It will be presented March 19 to 23 at Theater for the New City, 155 First Avenue (at E. 10th Street) by AiRealistic, an aerial theater company that was 'born out of a love of physical expression and an incessant urge to take wing.' It is performed by an ensemble of seven dancer/performers.

The iStar Theatre Lab dropped the news today that they will be leading off their 2013 season with an original work starring George Hamilton, with book by his brother David Hamilton, with the working title The George Hamilton Project. The work encompasses the remarkable life and times of the world-famous 'Tan Man', actor George Hamilton. Supervised by Tony Spinosa, Producing Artistic Director, Laura Bultman, Managing Director with Jo-Ann Bethel, Associate Producer, iStar's hands-on development commences on May 13th.
