This morning the theatre's Artistic Director, Gene David Kirk, has announced his departure at the end of this year. He is to be replaced by Jermyn Street Theatre's current Associate Director Anthony Biggs.

Just in time for the final showdown for the White House, Pine Box Theater patriotically presents ElectionFest 2012, twelve bold, ten-minute plays exploring the issues driving the divide in today's political landscape and the upcoming election, written by some of the country's most exciting theatrical voices. The Segal Centre, CIBC, and Peerless Clothing has announced that the smash-hit musical Guys and Dolls has been extended to October 31st, 2012.

For generations, musical theatre writers have come to New York City to change the world. 'Once Upon A Time In New York City' is about the people who have changed THEM. This concert will feature musical theatre writers- who are ages 19 to 90, who were born everywhere from Kansas City to San Francisco to Montreal, who are established and who are emerging- each writing a song about someone who has changed their idea of New York City.

George Street Playhouse Artistic Director David Saint announced today that the theatre has postponed their scheduled production of Clever Little Lies, penned by Tony Award-winning playwright Joe DiPietro, which was to star award-winning actress Marlo Thomas. Mark St. Germain's critically-acclaimed play The Best of Enemies, originally produced by Barrington Stage Company, will take its place in the New Brunswick theatre's season, running November 29 - December 23.

Fengar Gael's The Island of No Tomorrows, an erotic, quixotic musical fantasy directed by Lorca Peress runs at Interart Theatre from November 2nd through 18th. The play, a co-production between Interart Theatre Development Series and MultiStages New Works Contests, is part of the League of Professional Theatre Women's "30 Plays Celebrate 30 Years Series". Theatre Communications Group (TCG) has announced the publication of Ping Chong's Undesirable Elements: Real People, Real Lives, Real Theater. The volume includes four pieces of the Undesirable Elements series, as well as a section on methodology, interviews with collaborators, a complete production history and an introduction by Alisa Solomon. The publication is released in conjunction with the 20th Anniversary of the Undesirable Elements series, and Ping Chong & Company is celebrating in NYC with a festival at La MaMa October 18 - November 4.

Avgust Amonov will make his Met debut in the title role of tomorrow evening's performance of Verdi's Otello, replacing Johan Botha, who is ill.

The Concrete Jungle, an original work from American composer Bobby Cronin opened at the Studio Theatre of London's Arts Educational School on 8th June, 2012, and runs until the 16th June, 2012. The show follows the lives and loves of a group of young singletons who have just moved to New York City as they share stories in their local bar, 'The Concrete Jungle'.

Early popular demand has prompted Lantern Theater Company to announce an immediate extension of the upcoming production of David Ives' The Liar, an adaptation of the 1664 French comedy classic by Pierre Corneille, directed by Associate Artistic Director Kathryn MacMillan. This Philadelphia premiere by the playwright of the Lantern's smash hit New Jerusalem, The Interrogation of Baruch de Spinoza at Talmud Torah Congregation: Amsterdam, July 27, 1656 will now run from November 1 - December 2, 2012 (press opening Wednesday, November 7, 7 p.m.).

An independent and wonderfully irreverent film by Rhode Island's Richard Griffin, Murder University features all the blood, gore and tongue-in-cheek humor a horror movie should have.

The hilarious holiday musical sequel to the record-breaking FOREVER PLAID, PLAID TIDINGS, entertains Theatre at the Center audiences November 15 through December 23 at 1040 Ridge Road, Munster. The show focuses on the chilling cyber stalking experience that left her feeling imprisoned and helpless without protection from the U.S. legal system. Artistic Director Mikko Nissinen today announced Boston Ballet will tour to London, England July 1 - 7, 2013 for a six performance debut at the London Coliseum. The date marks the return of Boston Ballet to London for the first time in 30 years. The Company will present two programs, showcasing the diversity of Boston Ballet's repertoire and the versatility of its artists.

The third annual M. Edgar Rosenblum Awards Gala will be given on November 13 to benefit the Irondale Ensemble Project at the Irondale Center, 85 South Oxford Street, in the BAM Cultural District of Fort Greene.
