Hennepin Theatre Trust announced today that individual tickets for Priscilla Queen of the Desert, the musical about three friends on the road trip of a lifetime, will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 19, 2012. Called "a rollicking crowd-pleaser in sequins" by Variety, Priscilla will make its national tour debut at the Trust's Orpheum Theatre January 8-13, 2013. Beginning at 10 a.m., tickets will be sold online through HennepinTheatreTrust.org, in person at the State Theatre Box Office or by calling 1.800.982.2787 or visiting a Ticketmaster Ticket Center. It is part of Hennepin Theatre Trust's 2012/13 Broadway Across America-Minneapolis Season. Press opening night will be Wednesday, January 9.

Chicago Shakespeare Theater launched the 2012/13 Season with three critically acclaimed productions and announces today extended runs as follows.

Culture Project (Allan Buchman, Founder & Artistic Director), in association with Innocence Project, Marc & Steven Kaplan, and Cheryl Wiesenfeld, has announced a 4-week extension of the acclaimed 10th anniversary production of the hit award-winning play, The Exonerated, written by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen. New block of tickets now on sale through December 2nd at Culture Project (45 Bleecker Street at Lafayette Street) where performances began September 15th.

Next Theatre Company's second production of their 32ndseason is the Midwest premiere of Welcome Home, Jenny Sutter by Julie Marie Myatt and directed by Jessica Thebus, at Noyes Cultural Arts Center, 927 Noyes Street. Previews are Thursday, Nov. 15 at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, Nov. 16 and Saturday, Nov. 17 and 24 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 18 and 25 at 2 p.m. Opening night is Monday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. The regular performance schedule is Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. There are Saturday 4 p.m. performances December 1, 8, 15 and 22. The Broadway at Birdland concert series has announced that Tony-winning actress/singer Daisy Eagan will be bringing her concert, "Daisy Eagan: F@¢k Off. I Love You" to the stage on Monday, November 12 at 7pm.

Falling premieres tonight, Monday, October 15th at 7. Terry Schnuck, James & Catherine Berges, Crystal Beuerlein, and Michael & Noemi Neidorff, producers of the new Off-Broadway play, recently announced that they will donate $5 for each full-price ticket purchased for performances in October to Autism Speaks. Falling, the new play by Deanna Jent, began previews for an open-ended run Thursday September 27th at the Minetta Lane Theatre (18 Minetta Lane, one block south of West 3rd Street, just off Sixth Avenue).

The Albuquerque Theatre Guild and the American Theatre Archive Project present a one-day, interactive symposium on Saturday, October 27, 2012 in the Salon Ortega at the National Hispanic Cultural Center. Titled Recognizing New Mexico's Theatrical Past, Present and Future: An Interactive Symposium, the free event will take attendees on a tour of how theatrical performances have been a part of the lives of New Mexicans for over 400 years. It explores the role of New Mexicans in creating and preserving that history for future generations.

The 2:30 matinee performance of LUZ -- Catherine Filloux's new play about gender-based violence and human rights violations in different parts of the world -- will be followed by a discussion with members of the human rights community, including Kate Doyle of The National Security Archive and winner of the ALBA/Puffin Award for Human Rights Activism, along with Dr. Marcia Esparza, who has conducted research in areas including state violence, genocide and memory-silence in the aftermath of mass killings.
