New performers have been added to the sold-out Pump Up The Volume concert at Joe's Pub on Monday, June 25, 2012 at 9:30pm. Just added to the performer lineup are Harris Doran (The Actors' Fund's Hair), Claybourne Elder (Bonnie & Clyde), Gideon Glick (Spring Awakening), and Caren Lyn Tackett (Hair). Film star Samantha Mathis, who appeared in the movie version of Pump Up The Volume, will also make a special appearance at the concert.

The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage has awarded $873,000 through the Philadelphia Theatre Initiative (PTI) to seven theaters, presenters, and artists in the Philadelphia area. These include six grants for upcoming productions in the 2012-14 seasons, and one for research and development of a new play.

The Cooperstown Summer Music Festival opens its 14th season on July 8 with classical guitarist Jason Vieaux, flutist Linda Chesis, and a string trio with Nadir Khashimov, Daniel Lee, and Eric Han. The 7:30 pm concert will be held in the Louis C. Jones Center at The Farmers' Museum.

Ira Levin's classic comedy thriller Deathtrap is set to return to the Davidson/Valenti Theatre for six weeks only, opening on Friday, September 21 and running through Sunday, October 28. Directed by Ken Sawyer, Deathtrap recently enjoyed a ten week sold out run at the Davidson/Valenti Theatre, located at the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center in Hollywood. Net proceeds will benefit the entire array of the Center's free and low-cost programs and services.

Roberta Reardon, co-president of SAG-AFTRA, was honored by the NYC Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO in recognition for her work as former AFTRA national president and on the SAG-AFTRA merger campaign with the NYC Central Labor Council's Distinguished Service Award. Her award reads: "In recognition of decades of service to the Labor Movement and her inspired leadership in merging two powerful unions into a new, unique voice for working people."
