Steppenwolf Theatre Company concludes its 2010/11 season with Middletown by Will Eno, directed by Les Waters, playing June 16 - August 14, 2011 in Steppenwolf's Downstairs Theatre, 1650 N. Halsted St.

In celebration of Hard Rock International's 40th Anniversary, Hard Rock Cafe has launched a memorabilia tour which kicked off on May 18th in New York City, and will tour North America throughout the summer.

Art21, the highly acclaimed contemporary art and education organization and double Peabody Award-winning producer of Art in the Twenty-First Century (2001-ongoing) and William Kentridge: Anything Is Possible (2010) on PBS, presents a new multi-part, multi-year documentary project on the lives and work, and ideas and struggles of contemporary visual artists based in New York City.

Writer-director Phil Robinson will produce the 3rd Annual Governors Awards for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Academy President Tom Sherak announced today. He will share the duties with the producing team of Charlie Haykel and Juliane Hare of Don Mischer Productions. One or more of the Academy's highest honors - the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award, the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award and the Honorary Award - will be presented at the event, set for Saturday, November 12.

The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center has announced cast members for this summer's National Music Theater Conference. The Conference, under the leadership of Artistic Director Paulette Haupt, runs from June 25 through July 15 at the O'Neill?s Waterford, Connecticut, campus and will develop not just three, but four original music theater pieces this season.

Alley Theatre Board President Rob Reedy, the Managing Partner of Porter Hedges LLP, announced at today's Annual Board Meeting that Artistic Director Gregory Boyd and Managing Director Dean R. Gladden signed new five-year contracts with the Alley beginning fiscal year 2011-2012 and continuing through fiscal year 2015-2016.

The Moody Blues will embark on their first cross-Canadian Fall tour in more than a decade, playing in 16 markets around the country. The Canadian tour titled 'Precious Cargo' will begin on September 15 in Halifax, NS and will continue through October 8 in Victoria, BC (see tour dates below). The band will be touring in support of their new upcoming Universal Music Enterprises (UMe) greatest hits collection which will be released in two editions on July 19, as part of their highly successful Icon series.

Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT), concludes its 2011 Nutmeg Summer Series with My Fair Lady, running July 7 - 17 in the Harriett S. Jorgensen Theatre (lower Jorgensen Auditorium) on the UConn Storrs campus. CRT is delighted to have soap opera legend Eileen Fulton, who portrayed Lisa Miller Grimaldi on As the World Turns for almost 50 years, starring as Mrs. Higgins in My Fair Lady.

The Jewish Museum's popular SummerNights program returns, presenting live world music in a concert setting on five Thursdays in July and August beginning on July 7. The July 7 and July 14 concerts are sold out. Tickets are available for the other concerts in the series.
