Actors' Shakespeare Project, in collaboration with The Modern Theatre at Suffolk University, is producing a reading series in early April prior to staging Antony and Cleopatra in the space later in the month. The reading series includes Thomas Middleton's Women Beware Women, directed by ASP company member Sarah Newhouse, and The Last Will by Robert Brustein - a 2011 National Medal of Arts recipient - directed by Daniela Varon.

Abingdon Theatre Company concludes its 2010-2011 Season with the New York premiere of SUMMER IN SANCTUARY, a new play by Al Letson, noted poet, playwright and host of NPR's 'State of the Re:Union' about one man's attempt to connect with disadvantaged youths using words and poetry, with previews set to begin March 25, prior to its official press opening on April 3 at the Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex's Dorothy Strelsin Theatre (312 West 36th Street) in Manhattan. The rich cultures of ancient Nubia, located in present-day southern Egypt and northern Sudan, are the subject of an exhibition opening today at the Institute for the Study of the Ancient World (ISAW). On view through June 12, 2011, Nubia: Ancient Kingdoms of Africa evokes the rise, fall, and re-emergence of Nubian power over the course of some 2,500 years, from the earliest Nubian kingdoms of about 3000 BC through the conquest of Egypt beginning in about 750 BC. With more than 120 objects, ranging from statues portraying kings to military weapons, jewelry, pottery, and more, the exhibition illuminates the culture of ancient Nubia-particularly its ongoing, complex relationship with Egypt-and reveals its remarkable and distinctive aesthetic tradition.

The Saint Sebastian Players originally planned to conclude its 30th Anniversary season with Wendy Wasserstein's The Sisters Rosensweig. However, when the rights became unavailable due to a pending Broadway revival, the company selected a play about a different kind of 'sisterhood'-Steel Magnolias, by Robert Harling, which SSP will stage in the round. The Columbus Symphony today announced the winners of the 2011 Music Educator Awards, honoring individuals who make a difference in the community through a dedication to music education, and their efforts to promote a greater understanding of and appreciation for music education.

The Museum of Modern Art will acquire two landmark paintings from the 1950s and a group of seven sculptures ranging in date from 1954 to 2005 by Cy Twombly, widely regarded as one of today's most important living artists, announces MoMA Director Glenn D. Lowry. All of the works are from the artist's personal collection, and the sculptures will be the first by Twombly to enter MoMA's collection. With these additions to the eight paintings and numerous works on paper by Twombly, the Museum will immeasurably strengthen its holdings of works by Twombly, representing all six decades of the artist's career.

Legendary comedians Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara will discuss their career in a special program presented by Museum of the Moving Image and the Comedy Hall of Fame. 'An Evening with Stiller and Meara' on Thursday, March 10, at 7:00 p.m. will be moderated by Ben Greenman, editor for The New Yorker and author of several acclaimed books on comedy.
