Entertainment One (eOne) announced today it has acquired the international television rights for the legal drama “Diggstown,” and will handle distribution for the series outside of English-speaking Canada. The deal was brokered by Noel Hedges, eOne's EVP, Acquisitions, International Distribution.

All-new DIY Network series, Best House on the Block starring David and Lauren Leiss is set to premiere on Wednesday, October 10 at 10pm ET/PT. The series kicks off with double premieres at 10 and 10:30pm on Oct. 10 followed by premieres at 10pm for the rest of the run.

Smith Global Media announced today they have acquired the Worldwide rights to Canal Street, which screened to rave reviews at this year's American Black Film Festival (ABFF) among others. The film will open on January 18th, 2019, over Martin Luther King weekend.

The Doctor Who global premiere is getting even bigger. The new season of Doctor Who hits BBC AMERICA timed to the UK premiere broadcast on Sunday, October 7th at 1:45pm ET/PT. At the same time, fans at New York Comic Con will watch the premiere followed by a panel with star Jodie Whittaker, showrunner Chris Chibnall and executive producer Matt Strevens at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden. Attendees will get to experience the first episode live together and join the Q&A with Whittaker, Chibnall and Strevens.

Cinedigm announced tday that it has acquired North American distribution rights to the intense revenge thriller, RIVER RUNS RED, starring Taye Diggs (THE BEST MAN HOLIDAY, CHICAGO), George Lopez (LOPEZ TONIGHT, RIO 1& 2), Luke Hemsworth (HICKOCK, WESTWORLD), RJ Mitte (BREAKING BAD) and John Cusack (CON AIR, THE PAPERBOY).  Cinedigm will release the picture in select theaters and On Demand and Digital November 9, with a Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD release to follow December 11, 2018.

ABC News Chief Global Affairs Correspondent Martha Raddatz and National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) President and CEO Gordon Smith will headline a keynote session on Thursday, October 18 at NAB Show New York. Currently on tour on the continent with Europe, King King are thrilled to announce their January/February 2019 UK Tour. Planet Rock will run a 48-hour ticket pre-sale from Wednesday 26th September. Tickets will then go on general sale from Friday 28th September. FOX has given a straight-to-series order to BLESS THE HARTS, a half-hour animated comedy featuring the voices of Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee Kristen Wiig ('Bridesmaids,' 'Saturday Night Live'), Emmy Award and Screen Actors Guild Award nominee Maya Rudolph ('The Good Place,' 'Bridesmaids'), Emmy Award nominee Jillian Bell ('Saturday Night Live,' 'Eastbound & Down') and Ike Barinholtz ('Neighbors,' 'Blockers').
