Ovation, America's only arts network, has acquired the U.S. broadcast and digital rights for five series from All3Media. The deal includes Travel Man, which will debut on Ovation's AVOD service JOURNY and also air on Ovation's linear channel and on-demand service Ovation NOW. Other titles for Ovation TV and Ovation NOW include Stealing Van Gogh (1 x 60'), The KAWS Effect (1 x 30'), and the arts-themed reality series Fake or Fortune (14 x 60'), Antiques to the Rescue (3 x 60'). The announcement was made today by Scott Woodward, EVP Programming, Ovation.

The Breakthrough Prize announced that acclaimed actor, producer and philanthropist Pierce Brosnan will host its 7thannual ceremony, which will celebrate science and the achievements of the 2019 Breakthrough Prize laureates on Sunday, November 4, at a live ceremony at the NASA Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley.

Two-time Tony award-winner, Golden Globe and Emmy nominee Judith Light (Transparent, The Assassination of Giannni Versace: American Crime Story) stars as Matron Grady, the head nurse who tortured her patients into submission while Josh Bowman (Revenge) takes on the role of Dr. Josiah. This marks Ricci's return to Lifetime following her SAG nominated performance in the limited series, The Lizzie Borden Chronicles and the prequel movie, Lizzie Borden Took An Axe.

Annapurna has released the official trailer for DESTROYER starring Nicole Kidman. DESTROYER opens in theaters in New York and Los Angeles on December 25, expanding in January.

Meet the Press with Chuck Todd (MTP) was the #1 most-watched Sunday show in the key demo this past Sunday, October 14, according to Nielsen Media Research data. This marks MTP's 37th straight win in the demo most valued by news advertisers, its best streak in over 18 years (since October 15, 2000).

ABC News' “Nightline” ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (1.371 million), Adults 25-54 (484,000), and Adults 18-49 (374,000), during the week of Oct. 8, 2018, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. 

The Arthur Miller Foundation's inaugural Arthur Miller Foundation Honors celebrating the power of public school arts education will be hosted by Alec Baldwin.  Event Co-Chairs include Rebecca Miller, Steven Spielberg & Kate Capshaw, Sandi Farkas, Janine & Michael Smith. Honors to take place on October 22, 2018 at City Winery in New York City. This year, the foundation will honor HBO Documentary Films with the Arthur Miller Foundation Legacy Award and Tony Kushner with the Arthur Miller Foundation Humanitarian Award. The foundation will also recognize one veteran public school teacher who has displayed excellence in theater education with the Arthur Miller Foundation Arts Education Award.

NBC News' TODAY was the number-one morning show last week, topping ABC's Good Morning America in the key A25-54 demo. For 146 straight weeks, TODAY has won A25-54, delivering its best streak in over six years. TODAY also saw its best deliveries in total viewers, A25-54 and A18-49 in a month. On Friday, TODAY topped GMA by 260,000 total viewers and 404,000 A25-54 viewers. Additionally, week over week TODAY posted more total viewer growth than both GMA and CBS combined.

 Comcast NBCUniversal today announced the company's latest public hackathon, which will be held in NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises new global headquarters, Telemundo Center in Miami, Florida on November 3-4, 2018. Hackathon participants will be challenged to leverage technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and Mobile Augmented Reality (AR) to develop new ways to tell stories and foster deeper fan and community engagement with participating NBCUniversal brands.

“The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” has won the late-night ratings week of Oct. 8-12 in the key adult 18-49 demographic, as well as total viewers, according to “live plus same day” figures from Nielsen Media Research.
