Lionsgate is in talks to back the Fox News - Roger Ailes film, according to Variety. The untitled Fox News sexual harassment film stars Charlize Theron and Nicole Kidman.

During the week of Oct. 8, 2018, ABC's “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” grew to new season highs, soaring over the prior week by double digits in Total Viewers (+19% - 2.234 million vs. 1.872 million) and Adults 18-49 (+13% - 534,000 vs. 474,000). In fact, “Kimmel” scored 4-month highs in both Nielsen measures – since the week of 6/4/18. Excluding the two NBA Finals weeks in June, the ABC late-night program delivered its strongest performance since last spring in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49 – since the weeks of 3/19/18 and 4/16/18, respectively.

NBC ranks #1 for the night among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49, total viewers and every other key measure, winning six of six half-hours among those nets in 18-49 and total viewers.  

The Daily Show with Trevor Noah Presents: The Donald J. Trump Presidential Twitter Library is coming to Miami. The hugely successful, critically-acclaimed Presidential Twitter Library will open in Miami just ahead of The Daily Show's week of shows at The Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater. The Presidential Twitter Library will be open from Friday, October 26 through Sunday, October 28 at the Emanuel Luxury Venue at 1723 Washington Avenue, directly across from the Fillmore. On opening day only, Friday, October 26, the event hours are 11:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. ET. For the rest of the weekend (10/27-10/28) hours are 10:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. ET. Admission is free and open to the public. It will be so tremendous that those who miss it will be SAD!

 dick clark productions announced today the line-up of stand-out performers and talent who will be recognized at the 22nd Annual “Hollywood Film Awards.” Crazy Rich Asians will receive the “Hollywood Breakout Ensemble Award,” Amandla Stenberg will be recognized with the “Hollywood Breakout Performance Actress Award” for 20th Century Fox's The Hate U Give, while John David Washington will receive the “Hollywood Breakout Performance Actor Award” for his role in Focus Features' BlacKkKlansman. Additionally, Felix Van Groeningen will be bestowed the “Hollywood Breakthrough Director Award” for Amazon Studios' Beautiful Boy, and Yalitza Aparicio will be given the “New Hollywood Award” for her performance in Netflix's ROMA.

Cyndi Lauper – the Grammy, Emmy and Tony-winning icon and advocate – has announced the lineup for her 8th annual Cyndi Lauper & Friends: Home for the Holidays benefit concert, presented by Marriott International. The star-studded event will take place December 8th at New York City's Beacon Theatre. This year's concert will also celebrate the tenth anniversary of the True Colors Fund, which was co-founded by Cyndi Lauper.

Presenters of the 3rd Annual competition of The National Student Production Awards were announced today by The Foundation of The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Live-Streamed from Emerson College in Los Angeles, CA, on Thursday, October 18th, 2018, the event will be hosted by television personality, Tom Bergeron. The Foundation of The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) presents this competition annually which includes 23 programming and craft categories honoring student productions from across the country. The International Cinematographers Guild (ICG, IATSE Local 600) has named nine honorees for the 2018 Annual Emerging Cinematographer Awards (ECA), spotlighting promising cinematographers and providing crucial exposure needed to succeed in the motion picture industry. The collection of nine selected short films will screen at the SVA Theatre, 333 W. 23rd St. in New York on Oct. 28 starting at 3 p.m. A cocktail reception will follow.

E! brings its topical, unfiltered pop culture format to late night with its newest series, “Nightly Pop” premiering on  Monday, October 29th at 10:30pm ET/PT. Following “Busy Tonight,” airing at 10pm, “Nightly Pop” will deliver quick-witted, unexpected and relatable commentary centered around the biggest pop culture stories of the week, hosted by E! personalities Morgan Stewart and Nina Parker, along with social influencer Hunter March. SAG-AFTRA announced that members Marsha Hunt, Norman Lloyd, June Lockhart and Barbara Perry will be recipients of the SAG-AFTRA Founders Award for their historic contributions to the union. The special tribute will be presented Saturday during the SAG-AFTRA National Board plenary and honors early members of SAG-AFTRA's predecessor unions, SAG and AFTRA, who have provided meritorious service to fellow members. 

CMT today revealed an all-star tribute to country legend and 2018 “Artist of a Lifetime” Award recipient, Loretta Lynn, featuring Sheryl Crow, Dierks Bentley and Martina McBride. The trio will perform LIVE from Nashville at the 9th annual “2018 CMT Artists of the Year” special on Wednesday, October 17 at 8:00pm ET/PT. Some of music's biggest stars are set to present at the event, including Sheryl Crow, Keith Urban, Smokey Robinson, singer-songwriter Elle King, Hillary Scott, Jimi Westbrook, Phillip Sweet, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood, along with a special introduction by platinum-selling artist, Trisha Yearwood. They all join previously announced presenter Sissy Spacek.

Will Beall and David Ayers new drama is set to be developed at Fox, according to Variety. Beall is writing and Ayers is directing the drama, titled 'Deputy.'

Mariah Carey took to social media to announce the title and release date of her new album. In her Twitter post, she announces the title is 'Caution' and it will be released on November 16th. This is Carey's 15th studio album.
