The appearance marked a return for Goldberg to the legit stage and her Lion King roots, having originated the voice of Shenzi the Hyena more than 15 years ago in the 1994 Disney animated feature.

Sarah Ruhl's PASSION PLAY to Open 5/12 at Epic Theatre Ensemble; Previews 4/27February 1, 2010New York's OBIE Award-winning Epic Theatre Ensemble today announced dates for the New York premiere of Passion Play by Sarah Ruhl (In The Next Room (or the vibrator play)) and directed by Mark Wing-Davey (The Singing Forest). The show will begin previews April 27 and run through May 30, 2010. Opening night is set for May 12, 2010.
