A FEW GOOD MEN Aiming for 2010 - 2011 Revival; Davenport Produces, Esbjornson DirectsJanuary 26, 2010The New York Times is reporting that Producer Ken Davenport (Oleanna, 13, Altar Boyz, Awesome 80s Prom) is behind a new stage revival of Aaron Sorkin's A Few Good Men. He, alongside director David Esbjornson (The Goat, Or Who Is Sylvia?) are in the process of seeking out a lead to star as Lt. Daniel Kaffee in the production in a 2010-2011 revival on Broadway. This production will be the first revival since 1991, when it played the Music Box Theatre. Tom Hulce originated the role on stage in 1989. Tom Cruise famously took the role to the silver screen in 1991.
The New School Welcomes Doug Hughes for Spring SemesterJanuary 26, 2010The New School for Drama has announced that the award-winning director Doug Hughes will be teaching this spring semester. Working with professionals, like Hughes in the New York theater world is a cornerstone of Drama students' experience at The New School. In the intimate setting of the classroom, Hughes will be teaching Directing Chekov and Beckett to second-year students earning an MFA in directing.

Since 2003, the Joyce Awards program has been the only granting opportunity exclusively supporting artists of color in major Midwestern cities. Joyce is awarding five outstanding arts organizations grants of $50,000 each to support new works in dance, music, theater, and visual arts.
