Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance Leader Peggy Amsterdam Dies at Age 60December 28, 2009Peggy Amsterdam, head of the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance, has died at the age of 60. Amsterdam lost her battle with cancer in her home early Saturday at her home in Pennsylvania. She served as the President of the Cultural Alliance since 2000 and, during her time, more than doubled the organization's membership.
WaxFactory's 2010 Lineup Includes BLIND.NESS, QUARTET v4.0 and DELIRIUM 27December 28, 2009New York's WaxFactory has announced that its 2010 lineup will include BLIND.NESS, QUARTET v4.0, and DELIRIUM 27. BLIND.NESS features an all-female cast and will begin the season in January, running the 6th through 12th. QUARTET v4.0 will follow, running February 24th through 28th. Ray Bradbury's Musical 2116 Makes Debut After 50-Year WaitDecember 23, 2009Ray Bradbury, author of classic novels such as Farenheit 451 and The Martian Chronicles, will get the first full production of his musical, 2116, after having sat on the back-burner for more than 50 years. The musical will made its debut at the Fremont Centre Theatre in South Pasadena under the title 'Ray Bradbury's Merry Christmas 2116' for its initial run. Following that, the musical will premiere under the shortened title 2116 along with a companion piece Wisdom (1916) under the title 'Ray Bradbury's Wisdom.'

Full Cast Announced for BACKBEAT Premiere at Citizens Theatre, Opens 2/9December 23, 2009Full casting has been announced for the upcoming production of BACKBEAT at the Citizens Theatre in Glasgow.
