ENRON Featured in Vanity Fair; New Promotional Photo Revealed January 22, 2010A new promotional photo from the West End's production of the play ENRON has appeared in a new Vanity Fair feature. Inspired by the real-life financial scandal of 2001, ENRON, which was commissioned by Headlong Theatre, premiered this past summer at the Minerva Theatre Chichester, and then moved for a six-week run at The Royal Court Theatre where it played through November 8, 2009. The play will open at West End's Noel Coward Theatre later this month.

Stage Door Records to Release 1980 Original London Cast Recording of COLETTE, 2/22January 22, 2010Stage Door Records will release of the 1980 Original London Cast Recording of the musical COLETTE by John Dankworth on February 22nd. The release will be the first time the recording has been available on CD. The musical starred Cleo Laine in the title role. The show originally opened at The Stables Theatre, Wavendon in 1979 and transferred to the Comedy Theatre, London in September 1980.

GLEE and 'Grey Gardens' Win Dorian AwardsJanuary 22, 2010'Glee' took home top honors last night at the Dorian Awards, winning the award for the TV musical or comedy of the year. In addition, the drama 'Grey Gardens,' inspired by the 1975 documentary of the same name, was named TV Drama of the Year. The Dorian Awards are presented by the newly formed Gay and Lesbian Entertainment Critics Association.
'IDOL' WATCH: Orlando AuditionsJanuary 20, 2010Day 4 of 'American Idol' kicked off in Orlando tonight with guest judge and Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth. Many remember Chenoweth's show-stealing, Tony-winning performance in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown and her triumphant star turn when she originated the role of Glinda (or Galinda) in Wicked, which earned her a Tony Award nomination. Chenoweth most recently starred in the ABC series Pushing Daisies, for which she just won the Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. She'll next be seen back on Broadway in the revival of Promises, Promises. Although Chenoweth was only available for half the episode (one day in Orlando), her presence was welcome to 'Idol' and Broadway fans alike.
West End Premiere of THE LITTLE DOG LAUGHED Opens Tonight at the Garrick Theatre, 1/20January 20, 2010The West End premiere of Douglas Carter Beane's THE LITTLE DOG LAUGHED opens tonight, January 20, at London's Garrick Theatre. The cast features film star Rupert Friend alongside Tamsin Greig, Olivier Award winner for her performance in Much Ado About Nothing with the Royal Shakespeare Company, and is directed by Jamie Lloyd. The cast also features British actors Gemma Arterton and Harry Lloyd. The play began previews January 9th.
