Theatricum Botanicum's 2012 Summer Repertory Season will present four plays in repertory on its mainstage: Measure for Measure and A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare; Heartbreak House by George Bernard Shaw; and The Women of Lockerbie by Deborah Brevoort. In addition, Cherry Docs by David Gow will get six performances in Theatricum's intimate second performance space.

Registrations are now being accepted by the Des Moines Community Playhouse for its summer theatre classes for young people, kindergarten through grade 12. Courses will be held weekly, June 4-Aug. 17.

The NEW DIORAMA THEATRE, working with emerging theatre company PIT, open their first in-house theatre show and world premiere of THE DARK ROOM April 10 to 28, 2012. Sell A Door Theatre Company will return to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this year with a revival of their production of David Auburn's Proof from 3rd to 27th August at the Pleasance Above Theatre, 2pm daily.

This summer the Almeida throws its doors open to its annual festival which celebrates the best of international theatre. Over four weeks (2 -28 July) the Almeida will present productions by Inua Ellams, Inspector Sands, Lost Dog and Custom/Practice with return visits from the TEAM, Greyscale and Young Friends of the Almeida. In addition there will be a programme of one-off events, to be announced shortly.

Richard Eyre returns to the Almeida Theatre to direct the world premiere of Nick Dear's The Dark Earth and the Light Sky. Running from 8 November 2012 - 12 January 2013, with an opening night November 15. Designs are by Bob Crowley with lighting by Peter Mumford and sound by John Leonard. The casting will be announced shortly.

Kim Crosby will play the Baker's Wife in the Springfield Little Theatre's INTO THE WOODS, which plays May 13-29 in Springfield, MO. Crosby created the role of Cinderella in the 1987 INTO THE WOODS, first at the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego and then on Broadway. Cinderella's Prince was played by Robert Westenberg, who Crosby later married.

In 1941, a kiss was just a kiss, a sigh was just a sigh, and a sailor and a dame could really fall in love. Then came December 7th and Pearl Harbor. Could love survive the War of the Pacific? The answer is Written In Time, by Dallas playwright Matthew J. Edwards, presented by Rover Dramawerks. Written In Time makes its world premiere at the Cox Building Playhouse (next to the Courtyard Theater), 1517 Avenue H, in Plano, Texas on May 17, 2012 and will run until June 9 with shows starting at 8:00 p.m. Thursday-Saturday evenings, and a matinee at 2:00 p.m. on May 26.

Iron Shoes has announced the national tour dates for their production of Mad About the Boy. The production will receive its London première at the Unicorn Theatre on Saturday 12 May before embarking on a UK tour.

The NYC concert series If It Only Even Runs A Minute will have its London debut at the Landor Theatre on Monday April 23rd. The series, which is a Time Out Critics' Pick in New York, celebrates rare songs, behind the scenes stories and inspiring photos from underappreciated musicals.

The Granada Theatre Concert Series will welcome the horn bands Blood, Sweat & Tears on Saturday, April 28th. After 40 years of touring, BS&T still sells out concerts all over the world.

Moscow-based company Vakhtangov Theatre, under the direction of Rimas Tuminas will come to the Noel Coward Theatre for the 5 - 10 November with their modern interpretation of Chekhov's UNCLE VANYA, which won Best Production at Russia's Golden Mask Awards, equivalent to the Emmy Awards.

Starring one of Britain's best loved comedians, Joe Pasquale, and award-winning star of stage and screen, Robert Powell, Doctor in the House follows the comic misadventures of an inexperienced young medical student, Simon Sparrow, at the beginning of a five-year internship at St. Swithin's Teaching Hospital. Alex Reid, Marcus Patrick, Danny Young & Dale Howard will star in WILDBOYZ, a hysterical new adult comedy starring four celebrity hunks appearing on stage as you've never seem them before. Tony Denton Promotions by arrangement with Macho Productions will present the World Premier of "WildBoyz" The Tour from April 24 to June 16.

Noted performer and music historian, Benjamin Sears has an unprecedented familiarity with both Irving Berlin's work and the writings about him, much of which he has brought together in the new, The Irving Berlin Reader, part of the Readers on American Music Series from Oxford University Press, available in stores on April 6, 2012.

In 2005 Andrew Lloyd Webber's Really Useful Theatres sold his four playhouses, the Lyric, Apollo, Garrick and Duchess theatres to Nica Burns and Max Weitzenhoffer who formed Nimax Theatres Limited, adding the Vaudeville Theatre in 2008. Today Burns and Weitzenhoffer are also the proud owners of the spectacular Palace Theatre with its prime location on Shaftesbury Avenue, currently home to Stage Entertainment's hit revival of Chichester Festival Theatre's Singin' in the Rain.
