Miller Theatre at Columbia University SCHOOL OF THE ARTS closes the 2011-12 season of its Early Music series with Treasures of the Renaissance featuring Stile Antico on Saturday, April 21 at 8:00 p.m. at the Church of St. Mary the Virgin.

Asia Society, as part of the 2012 spring season of its series, "Creative Voices of Muslim Asia", presents Arif Lohar, one of Pakistan's Punjab folk singers, for a two-night run, Friday, April 27 and Saturday, April 28, 2012. The concert will cap a five-city U.S. tour, organized by Arts Midwest's "Caravanserai: A Place Where Cultures Meet." In a special collaboration, Arif Lohar will be joined by Brooklyn-based Pakistani songstress Arooj Aftab, whose signature sound fuses classical Pakistani and Sufi traditions with contemporary jazz and pop influences. An ensemble of Pakistani musicians will back up Arif Lohar.

Walnut Street Theatre continues its landmark 203rd season with the Philadelphia premiere of the internationally acclaimed comedy GOD OF CARNAGE. Directed by Walnut's Artistic Producing Director Bernard Havard, the Tony Award-winning play begins previews on March 13th, opens on March 21st and runs through April 29th on the WST Mainstage.

New York: Urban Stages Outreach Department (Frances Hill, Founding Artistic Director) continues their family programing by celebrating the month of the Irish with Pot of Gold and the power of words for National Poetry Month, with Blown Away by Poetry. Urban Stages Family series will take place on Sundays at 1:30pm. Each show runs about an hour and will be performed at Urban Stages located at 259 West 30 Street. Tickets are $10 adults / $5 kids.

Bela Fleck & the Flecktones are back in session. Fleck, the banjoist, composer and bandleader, toured last year with Zakir Hussain and Edgar Meyer, stopping at Jorgensen in April. This year he's back at Jorgensen with the original Grammy-winning lineup of his swinging combo, the Flecktones, on Saturday, March 24, at 8 p.m.

Gudjon Ketilsson's art revolves around the human body in its presence as well as absence. Starting with the cranium, the sensuousness of hair is felt through his carved and painted sculptures. Continuing the corporal investigation, Ketilsson draws in exquisite detail, abstractly rendering elements of his own body. Further, he investigates the questionable and surprising beauty of skin diseases, in jewel-like watercolor.

George Winston, the celebrated "rural folk" pianist, returns to The Barns to perform selections from his latest release, Love Will Come - The Music of Vince Guaraldi, Vol. 2, which features originals by the late jazz pianist. Guaraldi is best known for composing and arranging the music featured in animated adaptations of the Peanuts® comic strips. On Saturday March 31 at 8pm, The Emelin Theatre presents Nearly Lear - a mischievous, tender and comedic work that upends expectations of what a Shakespeare play should be. The newly named winner of the IPAY (International Performing Arts for Youth) 2012 Victor Award for Outstanding Production, is a theatrical and family event encapsulating all the grandeur of one of Shakespeare's greatest works, King Lear.
