First Folio Theatre, at Mayslake Peabody Estate, begs the question, "Are you afraid of ghosts?" with its production of Henry James' psychological thriller THE TURN OF THE SCREW. This stage adaptation by Jeffrey Hatcher is led by two actors and Director Alison C. Vesely. Now in its 15th season of bringing performances of Shakespeare and other classics to the Chicagoland suburbs, First Folio Theatre will preview THE TURN OF THE SCREW on March 28th, open on March 31 and run through April 29th.

San Francisco's African-American Shakespeare Company has announced that due to unforeseen circumstances the company's World Premiere of Nambi E. Kelley's, XTIGONE, directed by Darrel V. Jones, has been postponed, and removed from African-American Shakespeare Company's current season schedule. A RAISIN IN THE SUN, Lorraine Hansberry's timeless play about a 1950s-era Chicago family longing for a better life, will be the third and final production of the company's 2011-12 season.

Neil Armfield, former artistic director of Sydney's Belvoir and acclaimed director of Exit the King (Broadway, 2009) and Diary of a Madman (Brooklyn Academy of Music , 2010), will direct The Book of Everything, a play for young people and families that will run at The New Victory Theater from April 20 through April 29.

The record debuted at #1 on Billboard's Bluegrass Chart and #43 on the Billboard's Top 200. On September 29, 2011, Steve Martin and the Rangers jointly won the 'Entertainers of-the-Year' award at the International Bluegrass Music Association Awards.

MotorCity Casino Hotel welcomes An Evening with Jeffrey Osborne at Sound Board on Thursday, May 10 at 8:00pm. Jeffrey Osborne is a funk and R&B musician, songwriter, lyricist and was for more than ten years the lead singer of the band L.T.D.. In 1982 Osborne released his self-titled debut album which featured two hit singles "Wings of Love" and "I Really Don't Need No Light." George Street Playhouse continues its series of Pride Nights for the Gay Community on March 29, following the performance of the Playhouse's smash hit courtroom drama, Twelve Angry Men. Gazeta reports that Moscow's Pushkinskiy cinema's Karo Film has signed a deal with Stage Entertainment theatre company for the building to be turned into a venue for live theatre. The cinema will rent the building out for musicals and will form a theater block with nearby theaters.

Since 2009, Jerry Mouawad has staged five silent productions Apis, Cuban Missile Tango, Tick Tack Type, Stage Left Lost and Zugzwang. Now he is breaking his silence with the English Language World Premiere of one of Japan's most popular plays, Yukio Mishima's The Black Lizard, opening May 11 and playing through June 2 at Imago Theatre located at 17 SE 8th Avenue.

Deadline reports that SMASH creator and executive producer Theresa Rebeck will step down as showrunner for the television show before it returns for its recently announced second season. Rebeck will remain an executive producer of the show, but will not be as extensively involved in the day-to-day production of the series.
