FX will develop a cop drama produced by Philip Seymour Hoffman, Deadline.com reports. Titled Inside, the television show will be written by playwright-screenwriter Kyle Jarrow, as well as Hoffman and Emily Ziff Cooper's Town Prods.

The Martin E. Different Stages continues its 2011 - 2012 season with Murder on the Nile, one of Dame Agatha's most popular mysteries. Simon Mostyn has recently married the beautiful, wealthy Kay Ridgeway, having thrown over his former lover Jacqueline. The couple is on their honeymoon and is at present on a paddle steamer on the Nile. With them are Kay's guardian, and Jacqueline, who has been dogging their footsteps all through the honeymoon. Also on the boat are a rich, ill-tempered woman and her niece, a rather direct young man, a doctor who nurses a grudge against Kay's father, and Kay's maid. During the voyage? well, you'll just have to see what happens.

Theater Works presents On Nellie's Trail by Joann Yeoman, Saturday, April 14th at 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. The show is 40 minutes in length and the cost of admission is free. Performances take place in the McMillin Theater.

This spring, Performance Network Theatre presents "Red," the six-time Tony Award-winning drama by John Logan. "Red" begins previewing on April 19 and runs through May 27, 2012. It is directed by Performance Network Executive Director, Carla Milarch and features Kevin Young and Mark Rademacher as the artist Mark Rothko.

The Tony Award-winning San Francisco Mime Troupe presents the 16th Annual Youth Theater Project. Teens from San Francisco and Oakland will perform two original ensemble-created shows. The performances are the culmination of a playmaking workshop in the Mime Troupe style of political satire.

For the ArtsWest 2012-2013 season, Artistic Director Christopher Zinovitch has announced a selection of plays, beginning in September with a fast-paced irreverent rock musical about the country we live in - a Broadway blockbuster, that received Tony Award© nominations, an Outer Critics Circle Award, and two Drama Desk nominations. The holiday season will include a mix of rockin' holiday hits in a fond salute to 1960's girl groups. Audiences will then travel from Liverpool to Greece with a middle-aged, working class housewife in a classic comic masterpiece. The season's fourth play, another recent Broadway blockbuster, exposes the fundamental truths that result when opposing views of family and friends collide. The season will close with a genius at work as Beethoven and a musicologist examine the creative process against a background of passion and parenthood.

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company will host a Summer Intensive for College Students and Adults May 29-June 2, 2012, 11am-4pm, Tuesday-Saturday. Classes May 29-June 1 will be held at Xavier University. A performance on June 2 at 3pm will be held at the CSC Theatre.

Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston presents the regional premiere of Mitzi Gaynor's one-woman show "Razzle Dazzle! My Life Behind the Sequins" on Sunday, April 22 at 1 p.m. at the Robinson Theatre. The legendary Hollywood, television and Las Vegas sensation is perhaps best known for her portrayal as Nellie Forbush in the movie musical "South Pacific.'

History Theatre returns to the crime-ridden streets of St. Paul in the early 1930s with the return of a play written by David Hawley with music and lyrics by Drew Jansen, Capital Crimes: The St. Paul Gangster Musical. This new production is directed by Noah Bremer (artistic director and co-founder of Live Action Set) who is working with the design team to create a world full of bright colors and the idolized ambiance of a speakeasy as juxtaposition the harsh - and often bloody - reality of the stories being told. Hawley, a former writer for the Pioneer Press himself, uses the voice of Nate Bomberg a St. Paul reporter who covered the police for 52 of the 69 years he lived, to tell the tales of murder, mayhem, kidnappings, and shady deals. The lines between good guys and bad guys get crossed and double-crossed by everybody including gangsters, lawmen, the media and even innocent bystanders all to the playfully sinister and clever tunes of Drew Jansen.

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company continues its eighteenth season with John Steinbeck's "The Grapes of Wrath" in an adaptation by Frank Galati. This production features CSC Ensemble Members Justin McCombs, Sherman Fracher and Drew Fracher and is directed by Brian Isaac Phillips. "The Grapes of Wrath" opens on March 30th and runs through April 29, 2012. The production design is generously sponsored by AAA.
