"Commando: The Autobiography of Johnny Ramone," comes out nationwide on April 2nd, 2012 from Abrams Image. The definitive book on The Ramones, "Commando…" is the first and only autobiographical work written by a founding member of the Ramones chronicling his life, and the story of the band itself, from start to finish. Johnny authors an honest and detailed firsthand account of the band, from inception and their humble beginnings at CBGB in 1974 all the way through to their retirement in 1996 and beyond. Maestro Louis Scaglione, President and Music Director of the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra organization (PYO), today announced the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra's performance on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. in The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts' Verizon Hall. More than 100 of the region's most gifted and talented young, classical musicians will perform several pieces under the direction of Maestro Louis Scaglione, who is celebrating his 15th anniversary season with the PYO organization.

An Evening of Baseball History and Music, an event celebrating both the new installation Breaking the Color Barrier in Major League Baseball, and the Met's permanent baseball card collection, will be hosted by the Museum's Spectrum Initiative on Friday evening, April 13, at 7:30 p.m. The event, which will be held in the Museum's Grace Rainey Rogers Auditorium, will feature a panel discussion with sportswriters and baseball insiders on topics ranging from the racial integration of the major leagues to the history and evolution of baseball card collecting. The discussion will be followed by a baseball-themed musical performance by indie-rock "supergroup" The Baseball Project. The event is timed to coincide with the beginning of the 2012 baseball season and Jackie Robinson Day in Major League Baseball, which will be celebrated on April 15.

Laugh Factory Las Vegas is introducing magic to their comedy mix with the addition of a resident show. The "Laugh Factory Presents: Murray 'Celebrity Magician'" stars magician Murray SawChuck, who comes direct from America's Got Talent and History Channels 'Pawn Stars'. The show debuts April 30th for a limited engagement and will be performed at 7:00 p.m. nightly, before the regular comic lineups take the stage at 8:30p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Frank Ferrante, the award winning and internationally known comedic actor, stages his virtuoso tribute to Groucho Marx at ACT - A Contemporary Theatre, in An Evening With Groucho. Mr. Ferrante is the winner of the 1987 New York Theatre World Award, nominated for the Outer Critics Circle Award and Laurence Olivier Award, and well-known for his comic creation 'Caesar' with Teatro ZinZanni.

"My Sinatra," a one-man musical created by and starring Cary Hoffman, opens on Sunday April 22, at 3pm, after a ten-month preview period. MetroStage presents Be Careful! The Sharks Will Eat You!, a one-man show written and performed by Jorge "Jay" Alvarez, who tells a story of bravery, selflessness, and unimaginable courage and survival: the story of his family's escape from the oppression of Fidel Castro's Cuba in 1964. Alvarez offers an autobiographical, multigenerational and cross-cultural performance.

The Trap Door Theatre announces that Artistic Director Beata Pilch has been selected for a prestigious Artist Residency at the Program Cite Internationale des Arts-Home of foreign artists in France. Pilch was the only person from the United States to be selected for this honor, as well as the only theatre artist. During her three month long residency in Paris, beginning in April, Pilch will network with French actors, playwrights and directors to seek out new productions to bring to Chicago.
