One of Brazil's oldest acapella singing groups Trio Esperança will release their latest album Trio Esperança - De Bach à Jobim on May 18. Everyman Theatre's Baltimore will close the 09/10 season with the premiere of Blackbird, Examines the Boundaries of Love, May 12 through June 13. Fans who wish to watch the multi-cultural championship can head to Spike Hill. The Williamsburg pub and music venue will present all the games of the 2010 FIFA World Cup from June 11th - July 11th. Spike Hill projects every game of the international soccer championship, broadcast live from stadiums across South Africa, on its 10' x 7' screen as well as several other high definition big screen TVs. Spike Hill will also serve a full menu of food and drink throughout the series.

'Tugboats and Waterfront Scenes' encaustic paintings by New York artist Rich Samuelson will run through October 30 aboard Red Hook's antique wooden barge. The Jewish Museum will present The Monayer Family: Three Videos by Dor Guez through September 7, 2010 in the Museum's Barbara and E. Robert Goodkind Media Center. Visual artist Dor Guez offers perspectives from different generations of a Christian Arab family. Counted among 125,000 Christian Arabs, the Monayers consider themselves a minority within a minority. Autistic students, in 6th to 8th grade at PS 094 in Manhattan are preparing for a performance at the Majestic Theatre on Broadway (249 West 45th Street) on Monday, May 17th from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Disney's High School Musical star Corbin Bleu will be on hand to lend his applause and serve as the event's master of ceremonies.

COCA (Center of Creative Arts) will host a reception and Artists' Talk Friday, May 14 at 6pm for their exhibit Building Community. Artist and COCA instructor John Parker curates an exhibit featuring the work of COCA faculty members in a wide range of visual arts forms including painting, illustration, collage, sculpture, photography and digital media. Artists include Ilene Berman, Abigail Birhanu, Chris Martinez, Sara Moss, Maria Ojascastro, Katrina Shannon, and Stephanie Summerlin. The exhibit runs through July 16.
