The SculptureCenter host two events including Expanded, Exploded, Collapsed? on Monday, April 19th at 6:30 PM at the Theresa Lang Center at The New School 55 West 13th Streer. Panelist include Johanna Burton, Josiah McElheny, and William Pope. Moderated by Fionn Meade. The panel will reconsider the concept of the 'expanded field' in light of contemporary art prodcution. On May 2 an opening night reception for Night's Move at the Sculpture Center 44-19 Purves Street, Long Island.

The League of Independent Theater and the Innovative Theatre Foundation will co-sponsor The Community Forum on the Ohio Theatre. The event will begin at 6:30pm at the Ohio Theatre located at 66 Wooster Street in Soho, NY. After two years of negotiation, two lease extensions, and a 29-year history as an indispensable pillar of the downtown theatre scene, the Ohio Theatre must close the doors at its Wooster Street space forever on August 31, 2010.

The New York Times Company announced today the winner of the 2010 New York Times Outstanding Playwright Award is Dan LeFranc for his play 'Sixty Miles to Silver Lake.' The prize will be presented on May 13 at a ceremony held at TheTimesCenter in Manhattan.

Aurora Theatre's 14th season will conclude with Marc Camoletti's farce, Boeing-Boeing, starting on May 6 continuing through May 30. Performances are Thursday through Saturday at 8:00 PM with matinees Saturday and Sunday at 2:30PM. Tickets are $16-$30. Preview Performance Tuesday, May 4 at 8:00 PM with tickets $5 for Gwinnett County Schools, Student, Faculty and Staff; $10 for all others. Discount matinee Wednesday, March 26 at 10:00 AM with $14 tickets.

Detroit's Olympia Entertainment announced it's spring and summer line-up featuring comedians, family entertainment and concerts. The line-up kicks of April 16 with three shows including King of the Cage at Cobo Arena (301 Civic Center Drive); Dennis Edwards and the Temptations Review Event at the Fox Theatre (2211 Woodward Avenue); and Frankie Vallie and the Four Season will be at the Sound Board (2901 Grand River) for one of two shows returning to Detroit's Fox Theatre on October 22. Additional highlighs include Jerry Seinfield on April 17; Tyler Perry's 'Madea's Big Happy Family' May 6-15; Andre Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra on June 27; Cyndi Lauper will perform on July 1 and on October 8th The Pointer Sister.

On April 8, 2010, The Union Theatre's production of the Gilbert & Sullivan's classic operetta, The Pirates of Penzance opened at the East End's Wilton Music Hall. The production runs through May 16th, 2010. Today, the presenters announced a special ticket offer for the dates of April 14 and April 15. Tickets, typically £17.50 - £22.50, will be available for £10 for patrons who quote 'Rocky Mountain.'

The Beck Center for the Arts Spring Fling! Summer Socials! will run May through July 2010. Five art focused events are held in Cleveland area homes. All proceeds benefit the Beck Center, performing arts and arts education centers.
