Silvio Santos Vem Ai!, Uma Comedia Musical (Here Comes Silvio Santos! A Musical Comedy) written by Marilia Toledo and Emilio Boechat, directed by Fernanda Chamma and Marilia Toledo, presents a small part of the life of the television host and businessman Senor Abravanel (played by actor Velson D'Souza) from his childhood, when he was a street vendor in Rio de Janeiro, until in the 90s, right after the consolidation of SBT television network. Donna Summer Musical is a show with book by Colman Domingo, Robert Cary, and Des McAnuff and music and lyrics by Donna Summer, Giorgio Moroder, Pete Bellotte, Paul Jabara, and others, based on the life of Donna Summer. The musical shows the Queen of Disco at three times of her life: Duckling Donna (Amanda Souza) is in her pre-teens, starting out in Boston; Disco Donna (Jeniffer Nascimento), in her late teens and 20s, has her initial success; and Diva Donna (Karin Hils) is in her 50s and at the top of her career. With direction by Miguel Falabella, the show opens at Teatro Santander on March 5.

Novos Baianos is a Brazilian rock and MPB group from Salvador, Bahia. It was formed in the 1960s and enjoyed success throughout most of the 1970s. The band members were Paulinho Boca de Cantor (vocals), Pepeu Gomes (electric guitar), Moraes Moreira (vocals and acoustic guitar), Baby Consuelo (vocals and percussion) and Luiz Galvao (lyrics). The group always counted on the collaboration of the band A Cor do Som, composed of Pepeu Gomes (guitar), Dadi (bass), Jorginho (cavaquinho, drums and percussion), Baixinho (drums and percussion) and Bolacha (percussion). Novos Baianos is considered one of the most important and revolutionary groups in Brazilian music. Now its story will be told in the musical Novos Baianos, with Lucio Mauro Filho's book and directed by Otavio Muller, and having Davi Moraes and Pedro Baby signing the musical direction of the show about the group formed by their parents.

The itinerant show Casa Rosa dos Ventos (Windrose's House) opens December 6 with direction by Fabiana Tolentino. The play is a production of M.O.T.I.M (Women Organized by an Infinite Movement Theater), which works on themes such as feminism, art and spirituality. Conceived by Fabiana Tolentino, it also has the support and active collaboration of over 20 artists, including women and men interested in this quality of debate.

After Paris and West End success, A Mentira (Le Mesonge/The Lie) - starring Miguel Falabella and Zeze Polessa - opened this week in Sao Paulo, with original stage play by Florian Zeller. Directed and translated by Miguel Falabella, also has in the cast Karin Hills and Frederico Reuter. The play opened in Sao Paulo on October 4th, for a two-month season at Teatro Frei Caneca.

Heathers: The Musical is a rock musical with music, lyrics and book by Laurence O'Keefe and Kevin Murphy, based on the 1988 film of the same name written by Daniel Waters. While it is a high-energy black comedy, the show opens conversations about dark issues, including bullying, teen suicide, sexual assault, and violence in schools and now receives its first theatrical production in Brazil.

Directed by Ulysses Cruz, with songs by Luan Santana, musical Isso Que e Amor opens in Sao Paulo on September 13th and tours 6 more capitals. The musical is idealized by producer Gustavo Nunes, Leonardo Bertholini's direction and direction of movement and Guilherme Terra's musical direction, telling a story about the importance of love, integrity and music in people's lives.

Audience and critical success in Rio de Janeiro MUSICAL DONA IVONE LARA - UM SORRISO NEGRO now opens in Sao Paulo. The show will take place at Teatro Sergio Cardoso, from August 29.
