The international hit sensation, FUERZA BRUTA: LOOK UP, is pleased to announce an Artistic Discussion Series. The program will allow cast members of FUERZA BRUTA: LOOK UP to interact with fellow Chicago theaters and share experiences and visions surrounding their artistic communities. Each theater company will be invited by FUERZA BRUTA to attend a performance then share in a collaborative artistic discussion following the show. Collaboraction will be the first theater company to participate in this program on Tuesday, June 2.

A Noise Within (ANW), the highly regarded classical repertory theatre company and a leading force in arts education, presents SUMMER WITH SHAKESPEARE, an intensive three-week summer program for youngsters ages 10 to 18 offering interactive classes on acting, improvisation, voice, speech, movement technique, textual analysis, stage combat and more from July 6 to 24, 2010, at ANW in Glendale.

Fresh off of Broadway, 13, the musical will premiere locally at the Drama Learning Center in Columbia, MD. This rock musical, performed by Teaching Young Actors, DLC's Teen Professional Company, follows Evan Goldman, a nice Jewish boy from NYC's upper eastside who is forced to move to Indiana with his mother after his parents get a divorce. To make matters worse, Evan is on the verge of being Bar Mitzvhed (For you gentiles that means he's becoming a 'man'). The chaos that ensues is truly hilarious, real, and heartfelt. The lyrics and music are by Jason Robert Brown, based on the book by Dan Elish & Robert Horn.

Sweeping views of the City served as a backdrop last Monday evening when Ginger and Moshi Alafi hosted an exclusive event for high level supporters to the SF Playhouse and Bill English, Artistic Director announced plans for their eighth season of award winning theatre. The SF Playhouse has set an enviable standard for theatre production and in the process has attracted the Bay Area's best talent to its stage; this season will continue that trend.

HBO Films' 'The Special Relationship,' directed by Richard Loncraine and written by Peter Morgan, stars FROST/NIXON alum Michael Sheen as former British prime minister Tony Blair and deals with Blair's relationship with Bill Clinton (Dennis Quaid). The film also stars Hope Davis as Hillary Clinton and Helen McCrory as Cherie Blair. 'The Special Relationship' will be shown on HBO in the United States and Canada on May 29, 2010.

The 2010 FREDDY Awards Ceremony was held May 27th. The award recipients have been announced.

Signature Theatre, the current recipient of the Tony Award® for Regional Theatre, presents the world premiere musical Sycamore Trees by Ricky Ian Gordon, composer of the acclaimed opera The Grapes of Wrath and the OBIE Award-winning Orpheus and Euridice, as well as the musicals My Life with Albertine and Dream True. Gordon's autobiographical setting of his family's struggles and triumphs over 50 years, Sycamore Trees will run through June 13, 2010 in the intimate playing space of the 276-seat MAX Theatre.

A pair of plucky orphans fall into the clutches of a greedy couple in the final installment of SCR's 2009-2010 Theatre for Young Audiences season. Ben and the Magic Paintbrush, adapted by Bathsheba Doran from a Chinese folk tale, has its world premiere May 21 through June 6 on the Julianne Argyros stage.
