Cortland Repertory Theatre opens their 39th annual season at the Little York Pavilion with 'Spider's Web', a thrilling and intriguing play written by the Grand Dame of Mystery, Agatha Christie. While written in the usual fashion of Christie, with twists, turns and red-herrings, the play also has a healthy dose of humor injected by the infamous playwright. It also has the distinction of being one of two original Christie plays, written specifically as a play and not based on one of her novels.

The 2.8 overnight rating and 6 share for the Philadelphia Flyers-Chicago Blackhawks Game 1 is the best since 1999 (Buffalo vs. Dallas, 3.7 on Fox). NBC also won the night finishing No. 1 in primetime (1.7, A18-49).

President Obama Proclaims June 2010 As African-American Music Appreciation Month

Tony Award-winning actor John Lloyd Young (Jersey Boys, GLEE) joined Grammy-winning and Tony- and Emmy-nominated songwriter Allee Willis (The Color Purple, Friends) on May 23 to host FOOD FOR THOUGHT, the world premiere exhibition of Young's artwork. Young specializes in Pop Kitsch art, and FOOD FOR THOUGHT spotlighted pieces that play off iconic comfort food and drinks, including mac ‘n' cheese, Good & Plenty®, Grape Crush®, and Hungry-Man® frozen dinners. The event, was a fundraiser for AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA).

Ravinia Festival's 2010 season opens offering up great variety and more than 50 artist debuts beginning on opening night at 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, with pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii in the Martin Theatre. Ravinia Festival regrets that the 'Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy,' concert, originally scheduled for Aug. 1, will no longer be part of the 2010 season due to a venue scheduling conflict. There will be no concert at Ravinia on the evening of Aug. 1.
