A&E Scripted Drama THE GLADES Will Now Premiere 7/11

A&E Network will premiere the original scripted drama series, 'The Glades' on Sunday, July 11th at 10PM ET/PT. 'The Glades,' a character driven police procedural set in the fictional town of Palm Glade, Florida, stars Australian actor Matt Passmore ('McLeod's Daughters,' 'Underbelly'), Kiele Sanchez ('Lost,' 'Samantha Who?'), Carlos Gomez ('Shark,' 'Sleeper Cell') and Michelle Hurd ('Law & Order SVU,' 'Gossip Girl').

Given annually, this special award pays homage to a beloved pop icon. Paula is slated to accept her award in person at the 'NewNowNext Awards' taping at the Edison in Downtown Los Angeles on June 8th.

Opening Reagle Players' 42nd consecutive season on June 18th is the classic Into the Woods starring Broadway powerhouse Rachel York. York recently won the 2009 Irne Award for Best Musical Actress for her critically praised turn as the title character in Reagle's Hello, Dolly! That production was part of the group's 'Salute to Jerry Herman' season last summer. York now returns in mid June to portray The Witch in James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's original fairy tale Into the Woods.

Emmanuel Villaume, the Christel DeHaan Music Director for Opera & Orchestra for Spoleto Festival USA, announced at today's full board meeting that he will leave his position after the current season. 'I love this Festival deeply and I have always said that if I could not give the organization what I consider to be the necessary time, I would step down from my position,' said Villaume. Larry French, Broadway actor and concert artist, died in his sleep on May 28, 2010 of a massive heart attack. He was 58. A graduate of Howard Paine University, he first came to New York City in 1978 from Dallas, Texas, to pursue a career in acting, and shortly thereafter met his wife of 30 years, Jeanne Lehman French, in the Carleton Davis tour of CAMELOT.
