BCKSEET Productions Presents ANGELS IN AMERICA, Now-11/28

BCKSEET Productions opened their 2009-10 season with their repertory staging of both parts of Angels in America, Tony Kushner's Tony and Pulitzer-Award winning plays about the impact of AIDS on the national culture. This production coincides with the 20th anniversary of Angels in America, Part I: Perestroika, and marks the first time that a Philadelphia company has produced both parts in repertory, as Kushner intended them to be presented.

The multi-instrumental, singing suburban housewife sister duo from Minnesota are played by real life sisters, Lori and Lisa Brigantino. Infused with snappy dialogue and audience participation, self-accompanied original songs and cover tunes, Vickie and Nickie will take the audience on a journey and celebration of the holidays as they share their rise to 'fame', family stories and their own special take on the world today. The self-contained musical comedy duo intertwines song and dialogue that delves into the characters lives and comments on current events all while accompanying themselves on many different instruments including acoustic guitars, keyboard, accordion, saxophone, violin, ukuleles and percussion.
