Brian Ronan has won several prestigious awards for his work in sound design. These include Best Sound Design of a Musical at the BroadwayWorld Awards for The Great Gatsby. He received the Outstanding Sound Design in a Musical from the Drama Desk Awards for Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, which he also won the Tony Award for Best Sound Design of a Musical. Additionally, he won Best Sound Design at the BroadwayWorld Awards for The Book of Mormon and received the Outstanding Sound Design in a Musical from the Drama Desk Awards for Anything Goes. He garnered the Tony Award for Best Sound Design of a Musical for The Book of Mormon and won Best Sound Design at the BroadwayWorld Awards for American Idiot.
