The full cast has been announced for Midnight at The Never Get with book, music and lyrics by Academy Award, Golden Globe and Grammy-winner Mark Sonnenblick.

Next month, 54 BELOW, Broadway’s Supper Club & Private Event Destination, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond, including Grammy and Emmy winner Will Roland, Tony winner Norm Lewis and more. 

An all-Canadian cast will bring Next to Normal to life at Native Earth’s Aki Studio in Toronto this spring. Directed by Anthony Goncharov, the production stars April Rebecca, Taylor Long, and more.

At first glance, Next to Normal is the quintessential domestic scenario.  We see a suburban family with a seemingly normal life in “Just Another Day.” Diana is the perfect wife, has the perfect husband (albeit he can be a bit boring,) and an angsty teenage daughter who feels invisible. It’s the “perfect, loving, family” dynamic.

Two decades after Spring Awakening first premiered on Broadway, BroadwayWorld is taking a look back at what the cast of this era-defining musical, including Lea Michele, Jonathan Groff, and more has been up to.

Iron Crow’s brave production of NEXT TO NORMAL deserves a longer run. The script is a dramatic treatment of a nearly untouched topic, and the music is gorgeous and brilliantly rendered by excellent musicians and vocalists.

Two River Theater has received an Edgerton Foundation New Play Award for The Monsters: A Sibling Love Story by Ngozi Anyanwu. The award provided support for additional rehearsal time with the full creative team prior to the world premiere.

In January of 2026, 54 Below will present some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond, including Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp, Matthew Morrison and many more. 

Arena Stage has received the Edgerton Foundation New Play Award for Fremont Ave. by Reggie D. White, directed by Lili-Anne Brown.

Though the revival of Merrily We Roll Along ended its limited Broadway run in 2024, the show will live on in the form of the new filmed version, now in theaters. To celebrate the release of the hit Stephen Sondheim musical, we are taking a look back at the storied careers of its three leading stars, including Tony Award-winner Jonathan Groff.

Next to Normal will be available to stream on BroadwayHD. This three-time Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical stars Caissie Levy, Jamie Parker, Jack Wolfe, and Eleanor Worthington-Cox.

While different tryout theaters have different relationships to the development of new shows, it’s worth looking at both which commercial rental theaters and which non-profit theaters have had the most Best Musical Tony Award winners come from their stages.

Next to Normal Immersive will premiere in Buenos Aires on September 19 with Alice Ripley, Robert Spencer, and a special appearance by Adam Pascal. The production features 360° projections, surround sound, and a cast performing alongside the audience.
