This event is part of: Tête à Tête: The Opera Festival 2024
A staged libretto reading of a new opera in progress telling the true story of Violet Gibson, the Irish woman who very nearly single-handedly changed the course of the Twentieth Century, and was also a bit mad.
The piece explores how a seemingly powerless individual can find strength of will to take drastic action when faced with a chaotic world, and the fine line between bravery and insanity.
Brought to you by a mainly Irish creative team led by a direct descendant of Violet.
