With over 3000 shows now onsale for the 2022 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, trying to narrow down what to see can be a bit of a task. BWW reviewer Natalie O'Donoghue has selected her top ten picks across the festival programme to highlight the shows you really don't want to miss this year!

Peppa Pig: My First Concert

From Mozart to Muddy Puddles! Peppa Pig - My First Concert is a fun interactive introduction to a live orchestra with everyone's favourite Pig family! Join Peppa as she discovers an orchestra for the first time in this accessible, exciting concert designed for the youngest audience members, with Aurora Orchestra. Sing and dance with Peppa in her favourite songs, watch Daddy Pig learn to conduct an orchestra, explore the sounds of the different instruments, enjoy familiar tunes and and discover exciting orchestral pieces perfect for little ones. A wonderful first concert experience.

Shark In The Park

Timothy Pope is looking through his telescope - but wait, is that a Shark, in the Park!? From the creative team behind the Hairy Maclary show - see all three of Nick Sharratt's Shark in the Park books live on stage! Featuring all three of the Shark in the Park series - Shark in the Park, Shark in the Dark and Shark in the Park on a Windy Day - this fin-tastic, family musical follows Timothy Pope (and his telescope!) on three exciting adventures.

Dinosaurs and All That Rubbish

One small step for man, one giant pile of rubbish left behind! Man's dream to reach the stars leaves the world in ruins and disturbs the sleeping dinosaurs. Will they wake up and save planet Earth? An imaginative adaptation of Michael Foreman's environmental tale with dancing dinosaurs, fuelled by rock'n'roll. This riotous hour, packed with signature Roustabout silliness, will have you tapping your toes from start to finish!

Doktor Kaboom and the Wheel of Science!

So much science, so little time. Doktor Kaboom is having trouble picking his favourite science experiments, so he's bringing them all! From optical illusions to chemical reactions, a homemade hovercraft and more! Spin The Wheel of Science and together you'll choose what happens next in the show. Will we turn a water bottle into a rocket or catapult bananas across the stage? Who knows? No two shows will be the same. So, step right up, and let's spin that wheel!

Shlomo's Beatbox Adventure For Kids

World record-breaking beatboxer SK Shlomo makes mad music with his mouth and has performed around the world with legends like Bjork, Ed SHeeran and Rudimental. The Gruffalo, the Giant and the Mermaid with Julia Donaldson

Following their sell-out 2018 show, UK's best-selling author Julia Donaldson and a cast of four return with a brand-new show based on her much loved books including The Smartest Giant in Town, The Singing Mermaid, The Highway Rat, and The Gruffalo. Packed full of songs, puppetry and audience interaction, join Harry and Betty at their scarecrows wedding, go on an adventure with Cave Baby and a woolly mammoth and see if the grumpy Go-Away Bird would like a friend after all. Brotipo

Crazy Canadian circus for the young, premiering in Edinburgh after visiting 16 countries! The art of giving each other a chance and collaborating when the right time comes is what the Brotipos will have to learn! Two clowns touch the hearts of the audience and make them laugh through their quarrels, their acrobatics and their lonely moments. A show filled with handstands, diabolo and a hand-to-hand act that will make you sing and dance with them! Hilarious and comical, that's Brotipo. For the young and old!

Dragons and Mythical Beasts

Calling all brave heroes! Unveil a myriad of dark secrets and come face to face with some of the most magnificent monsters and terrifying beasts ever to walk the earth. Discover the colossal Stone Troll, the mysterious Indrik and Japanese Baku, the Tooth Fairy (not as sweet as you'd think), an adorable Unicorn and majestic Griffin. Take your place among legendary heroes, just don't wake the Dragon...

Marcel Lucont: Les Enfants Terribles - A Gameshow for Awful Children

The UK's favourite Frenchman channels his acerbic humour and quick-fire wit into a family gameshow, pitting children against adults and each other to try and find the most awful child. Come and experience what happens when international insouciance meets infantile exuberance, as children get to experience being politicians, pests and petomanes to win this badge of dishonour.
