FOUR ACTORS, 150 CHARACTERS, PLANES, TRAINS, AUTOMOBILES AND MAYHEM
WHAT IS THE 39 STEPS, you ask — a novel written by John Buchan in 1915, lauded for its tale of an innocent man trying to clear his name. An Alfred Hitchcock movie in 1935, instantly a classic thriller. In 2005 Patrick Barlow steps it up with an Olivier winning production performed on Broadway and all over the world. 2024 First Impressions Theatre takes it on as part of its 41st season in Deep Cove.
Yeah but what is it??? Well, it’s a Hitchcock masterpiece with a dash and a splash of Monty Python:)
Watch as we share a fresh take on the classic adventure-comedy! The 39 Steps is theatre at its best… an absurd, delightful journey that can only be brought to life on stage. A fast-paced whodunit comedy for anyone who loves the magic of theatre!
YEAH, BUT WHAT DOES THE 39 STEPS MEAN????!!!
Come and see for yourself! November 14-30th in the Deep Cove Cultural Centre, North Vancouver and December 5-7 in Nanaimo at Malapsina Theatre!
