Photo Flash: School of Theatre at Florida State Presents SPRING AWAKENING, 2/22-3/3

As the winds of the season change, the School of Theatre at Florida State proudly presents their second semester of dazzling productions. The highly anticipated upcoming performance will be Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater's intoxicating musical Spring Awakening directed by the Head of the MFA Directing Program, Fred Chappell. This show will run from February 22 - March 3 in the Fallon Theatre, on the corner of Call and Copeland streets.

Ruth Anne Watkins, a senior at the University of Maryland, taught an entire crew how to operate with a stage manager when the School of Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies and National Academy of Chinese Theater Arts' bilingual production of A Midsummer Night's Dream went overseas to Beijing, China.

STUDENT CENTER: Helen Hayes Winner Mitchell Hebert Discusses Co-Directing Bicultural MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM

Mitchell Hébert, professor of theater at the University of Maryland, co-directed the School of Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies and National Academy of Chinese Theater Arts' bilingual production of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. The Helen Hayes Award winner discussed being a part of such a groundbreaking project and seeing it evolve from concept to successful stage production.
