2025 AWARDS SEASON

With a career spanning seventy years in the theatre, Lucille Lortel's life mission was to help nurture emerging innovative playwrights.

The Off-Broadway League today announced nominations in 18 categories for the 31st Annual Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway. The Lortel Awards will be presented on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at NYU Skirball Center beginning at 7:00 PM EST. This year's event will once again benefit The Actors Fund.

In an extremely special event, the Tony Awards has partnered with TrivWorks and Broadway's Next Hit Musical, a musical improv comedy troupe, to create the biggest-ever Broadway trivia night/awards show New York City has ever seen.

The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs presents the 30th Annual MAC Awards tonight, March 29, 2016, at 7:30pm, at BB King Blues Club & Grill on 42nd Street in New York City.

Outer Critics Circle will post a new award entitled 'Outstanding Video/Projection Design' to increase award nominations to 25 categories.  Outer Critics Circle nominations are the first major Broadway/Off-Broadway award nominees of the New York theater season.

MyTheatreMates, founded by Mark Shenton and Terri Paddock, have announced the shortlists in the second annual Also Recognised Awards.

The Dramatists Guild of America presented their annual awards on Monday, February 22, 2016, at The American Airlines Theatre Penthouse Lobby in New York. For this year's 9th Annual Thomas Barbour Playwrights' Award, The Episcopal Actors' Guild will partner with New York's HB Studio in presenting staged readings of three new works, with one writer being awarded a prize of $500.
