Awards season has arrived! While many stellar productions are poised to earn multiple nominations this season, it will take quite a few to stand up to the current record holders. The 70th Annual Drama Desk Awards is set to be the largest gathering in the organization's seven-decade history — with the most Drama Desk winners and nominees, past and present, ever assembled for the ceremony.

The Pulitzer Prize Board has just announced that Bess Wohl's Liberation has won the 2026 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Other finalists included: Nazareth Hassan's Bowl EP, and Talene Monahon's Meet the Cartozians.

The 41st Annual Lucille Lortel Awards – the  only New York theatre award to exclusively honor Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway – will be presented at the annual ceremony tonight, May 3, 2026, at NYU Skirball beginning at 7:00pm.

The New York Drama Critics’ Circle has named LITTLE BEAR RIDGE ROAD Best Play of the 2025–2026 season. Alden Ehrenreich and the cast of DEATH OF A SALESMAN received performance awards.
