The Broadway Education Alliance has announced the 2020-2021 roster of students vying for the 11th annual Roger Rees Awards for Excellence in Student Performance Best Actress and Best Actor Award on Saturday, May 22, 2021. 

The Drama League has announced that Gloria, Emilio & Emily Estefan, along with the evenings honorees Iris Smith, Liesl Tommy, Richard & Demi Weitz, and more, will appear at The 87th Annual Drama League Awards streaming this Friday, May 21, 2021 at 7:00PM ET. 

Tonight at 7pm ET, the Off-Broadway League and the Lucille Lortel Theatre present the 2021 Lucille Lortel Awards - a celebration of all the people who create Off-Broadway excellence. The pre-taped special will honor the writers, actors, directors, choreographers, designers, musicians, stagehands, producers, theatre staff, and the audiences who contribute to the incomparable magic of Off-Broadway theatre.

The Association of Performing Arts Professionals announced the nominees for its APAP Awards. APAP will recognize the nominees and announce the final award recipients at The APAP Honors, as well as celebrate the recipients of the Annual NAPAMA Awards and Halsey & Alice North Award for APAP Board Alumni.

Estelle Parsons will be honored, along with a diverse group of six other remarkable women theatre artists, at the League of Professional Theatre Women’s Theatre Women Awards virtual gala. This major event in the LPTW calendar will be presented online via Zoom on Monday, June 7 at 7pm.

The Bret Adams and Paul Reisch Foundation has announced the recipients of their 2021 Idea Awards for Theatre; three grants awarded to adventurous new voices in playwriting and musical theatre, as well the visionary playwrights who have inspired and blazed trails before them.

The Pulitzer Prize Board has decided to postpone the 2021 award winners’ announcement. Originally scheduled for Monday, April 19, 2021, the Prizes in Journalism, Books, Drama and Music now will be announced on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 1 p.m., via video stream.

The Drama League has just announced the 2021 Nominees and Special Recognition Honorees for The 87th Annual Drama League Awards. Keeping in the tradition of honoring the outstanding accomplishments of the theatrical community, as they have since 1935, this year the organization has established five unique categories to honor the extraordinary achievements of artists across the nation who created digital and socially-distanced theatrical productions during this challenging year of suspension for live arts.

“Our plan is that this year’s Oscars will look like a movie, not a television show, and Glenn has embraced this approach and come up with ideas of his own on how to achieve this.  We’re thrilled to have him as part of the brain trust,” said Collins, Sher and Soderbergh.

Broadway star and Grammy nominee opened the Grammy Premiere Cermony! The tribute performance celebrated the 50th anniversary of Marvin Gaye's 'Mercy, Mercy Me (The Ecology).'

Broadway's Mykal Kilgore will be performing in a Marvin Gaye tribute at The Grammy Award's Premiere Ceremony, streaming online on March 14 at 3pm ET!

The winners of the 2021 Richard Rodgers Awards for Musical Theater were announced today by the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Each musical received a Studio Production Award.

Voting for the Tony Awards has officially begun. There are 778 Tony voters, but because voters can only cast ballots in categories in which they’ve seen all the nominees, and the pandemic prevented any spring theatergoing, there are fewer qualified voters than in a typical year. 

Award-winning comedy icons Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosted the 78th Annual Golden Globe Awards, celebrating the best in film and television. The telecast aired live coast to coast tonight, Sunday, February 28, 2021 from 5-8 p.m. PST/8-11 p.m. EST on NBC.

The Kleban Foundation celebrates the 31st anniversary of the annual Kleban Prize for Musical Theatre with the announcement of the 2021 prizewinners. The Kleban Prize for the most promising musical theatre lyricist has been awarded to Benjamin Scheuer. The Kleban Prize for the most promising musical theatre librettist has been awarded to co-librettists Melissa Li and Kit Yan.

The Drama League will present the 87th Drama League Awards, which will be pre-recorded and streamed on May 21, 2021. The nomination process, which will focus on extraordinary digital theatrical productions during the shutdown of live performance and identifying individuals and organizations that made an impact in the last year, is currently underway.

The Critics Choice Association (CCA) announced today the film nominees for the 26th annual Critics Choice Awards.  The winners will be revealed LIVE on The CW on Sunday, March 7, 2021 from 7-10pm ET/PT, with acclaimed film, television, and stage star Taye Diggs returning to host for his third consecutive time. 

Former 'Hamilton' co-stars Leslie Odom Jr. and Daveed Diggs have been honored with Screen Actors Guild Award nominations this morning! 

This morning, Hollywood legends Sarah Jessica Parker and Taraji P. Henson revealed the nominees for the The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA)'s 78th Annual Golden Globe Awards. 

The full-list of nominees for the 52nd NAACP Image Awards were announced today in a special virtual event on NAACP Image Awards’ Instagram channel hosted by Tony-award winning actress and singer Anika Noni-Rose, actress and singer Chloe Bailey, actress Erika Alexander, actor, dancer, and choreographer Nicco Annan, and actor and singer TC Carson.
