The 2014 Drama League Nomination announcement begins the month of celebrations leading up to the 80th Annual Drama League Awards, which will be held at the Marriott Marquis Times Square (1535 Broadway) on Friday, May 16, 2014 at noon hosted by Broadway veteran Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

The Boston Theater Critics Association (BTCA) has announced over 25 nominations of actors, directors, designers and ensembles to be presented at 32nd Annual Elliot Norton Awards on Monday May 19 at The Wheelock Family Theatre.

The International Centre for Women Playwrights (ICWP) announces the opportunity to nominate theatres for the prestigious third annual ICWP 50/50 Applause Award. The award honors theatres and artistic directors who produced at least an equal number of female playwrights in ratio to male playwrights during their 2013/14 season.

In celebration of outstanding achievement in high school musical theater performances, Broadway In Chicago is thrilled to announce the twenty-four finalists for the Third Annual Illinois High School Musical Theater Awards. The finalists (12 young actors & 12 young actresses) have been invited to participate in the Awards program, which will be held at the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 E. Chestnut St.) on Friday, April 25, 2014.

After Sunday's Olivier Awards ceremony, there was of course time for winners, presenters and guests to chat to the press - and then celebrate at the after-show party.

It will be a night of firsts for performing arts in Austin, Texas! The First Annual Greater Austin High School Musical Theatre Awards (GAHSMTA) will be held at the Long Center, tonight, April 17 at 7:30pm. Not only will it be the first large scale project fully produced in-house by Austin's iconic performing arts venue on Lady Bird Lake, but also it will be the first time the Long Center has partnered with ZACH Theatre and The University of Texas at Austin College of Fine Arts.

Love or hate Book of Mormon and its potentially offensive lyrics, script and themes, you have to admire the skill of its cast. And the childish, perhaps schoolboy-esque wit of Trey Parker and Matt Stone, its creators (who were nominated for outstanding achievement in music).

Oh-so-justly, Chimerica has scooped up a handful of Olivier Awards, including the highly coveted award for Best New Play. Produced in conjunction with Headlong and originally playing at the Almeida (before a successful transfer to the Harold Pinter Theatre), Lucy Kirkwood's intelligent, moving drama tells of the 'tank man' from the historic image of 1976 Tianenmen Square.
