Nominations for the 2014 Annual Drama Desk Awards were announced this morning at 54 Below by Academy Award winners Robert Lopez andKristen Anderson-Lopez and two-time Emmy and Golden Globe Nominee Fran Drescher. BroadwayWorld has confirmed that the Tony Awards Administration Committee will meet for the final time this season today, April 25 to determine the eligibility for the final productions of the 2013-14 season.

And if they decide LADY DAY AT EMERSON'S BAR AND GRILL is a 'play with music' rather than a musical, leading lady Audra McDonald, who stars as Billie Holiday, will have the chance to win a Tony for Best Actress in a Leading Role in a Play -- her only category without a Tony trophy.

The Tony Awards Administration Committee met today for the fourth and final time this season to determine the eligibility of eighteen Broadway productions for the 2014 American Theatre Wing's Tony Awards®, presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing. The Tony Awards Administration Committee has met a total of four times throughout the 2013-2014 season to decide the eligibility for the 68th Annual Tony Awards.

Eligibility and award category designations for the productions under consideration this season were determined by the Drama Desk board of directors with recommendations from the nominating committee. Because of the abundance of great work throughout the season, the Board also authorized the increase in the number of nominees allowed in select categories.

The Hollywood Arts Council's 28th Annual Charlie Awards Luncheon, benefiting the Council's arts programs for underserved children in the community, will be held on April 25, 2014. The Boston Theater Critics Association (BTCA) has announced over 25 nominations of actors, directors, designers and ensembles to be presented at 32nd Annual Elliot Norton Awards on Monday May 19 at The Wheelock Family Theatre.

The International Centre for Women Playwrights (ICWP) announces the opportunity to nominate theatres for the prestigious third annual ICWP 50/50 Applause Award. The award honors theatres and artistic directors who produced at least an equal number of female playwrights in ratio to male playwrights during their 2013/14 season.

In celebration of outstanding achievement in high school musical theater performances, Broadway In Chicago is thrilled to announce the twenty-four finalists for the Third Annual Illinois High School Musical Theater Awards. The finalists (12 young actors & 12 young actresses) have been invited to participate in the Awards program, which will be held at the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 E. Chestnut St.) on Friday, April 25, 2014.
