One of the biggest names heading to Edinburgh this August is Golden Globe winner Anne Archer. This political play depicts Jane Fonda's activism during the Vietnam War. Written and directed by seven-time Emmy-winning producer/director Terry Jastrow, this play certainly seems to have a lot of potential.
Kingmaker is by the same writers as 2013's Making News which was one of my Fringe highlights last year. Purely fictional, Kingmaker is a political satire about a "bumbling" London mayor who decides to run for prime minister. Promising to be "strangely familiar" this is one Fringe performance that I am very excited about!
Bill Clinton: Hercules
Continuing what seems to be a bit of a theme this year is Bill Clinton: Hercules. A fantasy TED talk that covers Trojan Wars to the future of democracy, his dreams, regrets, hopes and passions, Occupy, Hillary and Monica, this really looks like an interesting and very unique show.
Straying from what is looking to be a very political festival for myself, this is a solo show that depicts what its like growing up with a schizophrenic mother. Despite the intense subject matter this promises to be funny and touching.
