Goblin Market
Book by Brandi Underwood | Music & Lyrics by Jesse Hampsch
Directed, Developed and Choreographed by Dylan Cole
Additional Lyrics by Christina Rossetti
Can unearthly fairytale worlds live beneath a stark reality? In the mid 19th century, on brink of the artistic movement known as the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, Dante and John seem poised for greatness, while Christina and Elizabeth struggle in a world of art typified by the male gaze. Faced with losing both love and home, a realm of darkness and romantic myth begins creeping into life. Goblin Market, based on the true life of the romantic poet Christina Rossetti and her masterwork, is a is a brand-new musical created and composed by members of our Abbott MFA in Musical Theater Collaboration.
