Review: CLUE - Live On Stage!
by Lynn Beaver - Jan 16, 2025

Farce, with its fast-paced action, physical comedy, and absurdity, is my favorite type of theatre. The national tour of CLUE - Live On Stage! fits the definition perfectly, delivering buffoonery, slamming doors, and breathless pacing.
Review: CLUE LIVE ON STAGE at Bass Concert Hall
by Joni Lorraine - Jan 16, 2025

Our story begins with a board game originally invented in 1943 by Anthony Pratt, a British musician who envisioned a murder-mystery game to entertain people during air-raid shelter stays in World War II. The game, originally called Cluedo (a mashup of 'clue' and 'ludo,' meaning 'I play' in Latin), was later licensed by Parker Brothers and became the beloved classic we know as Clue.

Review: CLUE Turns Enemies List Paranoia into Pure Madcap Fun!
by Linda Hodges - Oct 30, 2024

Broadway San Jose has another laugh-out-loud hit on their hands with CLUE, the high-energy farce based on the classic board game and the 1985 movie of the same name. Though the movie became a cult classic, nothing compares to the raw energy of Sandy Rustin’s stage adaptation of Jonathan Lynn’s screenplay.
Review: CLUE - LIVE ON STAGE! at Curran Theatre
by Steve Murray - Oct 23, 2024

Not in the mood for more election drama or Mideast War horror? Then this current  production of Clue - Live on Stage! might  be the remedy. With lightning flashes and an ominous score, a mysterious dinner party at Boddy Manor begins with the arrival of an assortment of guests familiar to anyone who ever played the Parker Brothers board game Clue. Based on the popular game and the 1985 cult film, this delightful production helmed by director Casey Hushion and her talented cast and crew is a visual treat chock full of word puns, slapstick shtick and broad comic caricatures.

Review: CLUE at The 5th Avenue Theatre
by Jay Irwin - Jul 11, 2024

Dear Readers, chances are you played that classic board game “Clue” as a kid. That game of weapons and rooms and attempting to decipher who the killer is. And if so, then you also may have seen the classic 80’s comedy movie based on that game with a litany of comedy heavy hitters playing those iconic suspects. And if you’re like me, and love both of those things, when you heard a stage version of “Clue” was coming to the 5th Avenue Theatre you may have thought, “oh no, this could be dreadful”. Luckily, Dear Readers, it’s actually a lot of fun. In fact, I laughed out loud multiple times, and not just at the jokes I remembered from the movie.
Review: CLUE at Majestic Theatre
by Jill Ripa - Jul 2, 2024

We could all use some moments with a little silliness and laughter. And that’s exactly what you’ll get watching Clue at San Antonio’s Majestic Theatre.
