After a sold-out engagement at The Public Theater in 2013 and the current commercial off-Broadway run at The Public Theater producers Joey Parnes and Emursive have announced that the David Byrne and Fatboy Slim's' smash hit musical, Here Lies Love, directed by Alex Timbers, will play its final performance in New York on Sunday, January 4th, 2015. The initial Public Theater production began performances on April 2, 2013 and ended its run (after four extensions) on July 28, 2013. The current production reopened at The Public Theater on April 14, 2014 with an official opening on May 1, 2014

Here Lies Love will now go global. The musical recently opened to rave reviews in London at the new Dorfman Theatre, under the auspices of the National Theatre. Plans are underway, with casting this month, for the Australian premiere as the centerpiece of the Vivid Sydney Festival in May, 2015 as well as a US national touring production which will begin in San Francisco. Performances of the show are also projected for South America, South Korea, Singapore, Japan and even the Phillipines.

Producer Joey Parnes said, "We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to remount this show in its original home with this remarkable company. What David Byrne, Fatboy Slim, and Alex Timbers started at The Public Theater has turned into a worldwide phenomenon, and it will continue to dazzle and inspire audiences around the globe for years to come."

"Here Lies Love is one of the most unique and wonderful shows The Public Theater has ever produced; it has had more performances here than any musical in our history. We are proud to have given this show to the world, and delighted its journey will continue," said Public Theater Artistic Director Oskar Eustis.

The principal cast features Jaygee Macapugay and Jose Llana as Imelda and Ferdinand Marcos, and Conrad Ricamora as Ninoy Aquino. Here Lies Love was conceived by David Byrne and features lyrics by Byrne and Fatboy Slim and choreography by Annie-B Parson. Additional music by Tom Gandey & J. Pardo. Scenic design is by David Korins, costume design by Clint Ramos, lighting design by Justin Townsend, sound design by M.L. Dogg & Cody Spencer and projection design by Peter Nigrini. Kimberly Grigsby served as Music Supervisor.

Within a pulsating dance club atmosphere, David Byrne and Fatboy Slim deconstruct the astonishing journey of Filipina First Lady Imelda Marcos retracing her meteoric rise to power and subsequent descent into infamy and disgrace at the end of the People Power Revolution. Here Lies Love is neither a period piece nor a biography, neither a play nor a traditional musical but an immersive theatrical event combining songs influenced by four decades of dance music, adrenaline-fueled choreography, and a remarkable 360-degree scenic and video environment to celebrate Imelda's meteoric rise to political prominence and subsequent tragic consequences of her well-documented abuse of power.

Here Lies Love is produced by Joey Parnes, Emursive, Hal Luftig, Rhoda Herrick, Important Musicals, Wally Hays, Rebecca Gold, Joan Raffe & Jhett Tolentino, Rodney Rigby, Papagika Salloway Productions/Brian Bantry, Yashuhiro Kawana, Shoeless Girl Productioins, Melissa & Dan Berger, Sue Wagner, John Johnson presenting The Public Theater Production, Oskar Eustis, Artistic Director, Patrick Willingham, Executive Director.
