South Bend Civic Theatre will hold auditions for the holiday favorite Irving Berlin’s White Christmas Thursday September 11 and Friday September 12, starting at 6:00 PM, at the Scottish Rite building located at 427 N. Main St. South Bend (across the parking lot from SBCT). Director Jewel Abram-Copenhaver and Music Director Roy Bronkema are seeking a talented group of adult and youth singing and dancing performers to bring this beloved musical to the stage. Prospective actors should be have a 16-20 bar song selection prepared and dress appropriately to learn a short dance. Cold readings of the script will also be part of the audition.
Featuring music and lyrics by Irving Berlin, and a book by David Ives and Paul Blake, this heartwarming musical adaptation of the classic film follows a song and dance team finding romance in a Christmas show at a lodge in Vermont. Featuring a score filled with Berlin standards, this show will have you dreaming of a “White Christmas.”
