Brief Synopsis:
While Howard and Penny are asleep, a burglar climbs through the window and steals Howard's suit. How is he supposed to make it back to the suburbs to his wife in his underwear? Add to this a punk with rainbow colored hair, a flasher, and a singing telegram Gorilla and you have the ingredients for an outrageous farce!
Roles:
Seeking 6 men ages 20s-50s and 3 women 20s-40s.
Burglar – a lower class thief in London (doubles with Inspector)
Howard - a middle-aged professional bookmaker cheating on his wife
Penny – Howard’s young mistress
Jimmy – Penny’s rainbow colored spiked hair punk friend, lower class & ready to party (doubles with Oliver [Gorilla])
Tové – young, sexy Danish girl who also happens to be Howard’s new au pair
Neighbor (Home Secretary) – middle-aged British politician cheating on his wife
Deirdre - the older mistress having an affair with the Home Secretary
Captain Webber – Howard’s acquaintance, a man of gravel voice & dubious military background
Policeman – over-sexed Scotland Yard constable who also happens to the neighborhood flasher
Inspector – dressed in Commando gear, an intense detective with a flair for the dramatic (doubles with Burglar)
Gorilla (Oliver) – a singing telegram performer in a gorilla suit (doubles with the role of Jimmy)
All characters require a British accent except for Tové, who requires a Scandinavian accent.
Some of the characters also spend time onstage in their underwear, so actors auditioning for those roles should be comfortable with that (Howard, Penny, Tové, Home Secretary, Deirdre).
All roles are available.
